I just got into CoH recently. Been a StarCraft player for the past decade, and no other RTS has really interested me.

CoH has very good gameplay, and the multiplayer is a lot of fun! I haven't had the chance to get the Opposing Fronts expansion pack as yet (I plan on getting it in the future).
Anyways, I was trying to find the command trees for the PE and the British, as I always vs them online (I'm always Wer) and it helps to know what your enemy's different options are. I have searched google and although I had no trouble finding Allies and Axis command trees for the original CoH, I've had no luck for the British and Panzer Elite trees.

This of course could mean there are no new command trees in the expansion, in which case your probably laughing at my neubiness by now. But just reading the forums and talk of PE scorched and luftwaffe, I figured they do have new command trees.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

EDIT: And of course, as soon as I typed this up, I clicked on a link to another thread to a CoH Stats website, and I have found them!

Welcome to the forums and coh multiplayer!

Since you found what you need, feel free to watch a bunch of replays to get your game on, then once you are familiar, jump into 1v1 ranked. it's fun stuff.

And check out the Beta section to track upcoming changes. I think you can join with only a VCoH account? It needs more bodies. :)

Hey just a word of advice, I think that OF command trees are more powerful than vCoH ones, so you gotta watch out and learn strenghts/weaknesses. Especially with PE, you get a lot of cool stuff from the command trees, so the game can be very differently depending on what doctrine the player choses. Don't get me wrong, you get some cool stuff from the command trees as werh and US but it does not influence the game as much. Relic has done a nice job with the strategic options in OF.

Also, you can tell what doctrine a PE player goes by looking at the ketten. If it's got explosives, then it's scortched. If it's got tools, then it's tank destroyer. If it's got camo stripes, it's luftwaffe.

Thanks for the replies and advice guys, I'll take as much as I can get.

Even if the OF trees are stronger, would you say the four armies are relatively balanced? That is what makes StarCraft so great is the nearly perfect balance between the three factions...

I've only played as Wer online thus far, and only 2v2s. I think I'm going to stop playing bridge maps for the most part, as I'm getting sick of long, drawn-out arty wars. Even then, the British defenses are tough to deal with. I hate going up against an AT pounder, even if I have a Tiger or KT as they still seem to take significant damage. Either way, it usually ends up being an arty war as I'm trying to arty his AT Pounders and his Howitzers, while he just keeps putting up new ones.

That and I'm having troubel with Airborne blobs...

And another thing, whats the diff. between 2v2 and 2v2 AT games when you hit the play button? I'm guessing 2v2 AT means you need a premade partner to team with and 2v2 sticks you with a random ally?

A button on the botom that say "Automatch". There you can select your faction, choose your game type (1v1, 2v2, ect), and deselect maps you don't want to play (in 1v1's I recomend you never play St. Mere Dumont. That map is teh sux0rz for Americans).

The 4 factions are balanced for the most part except for british who are overpowered on most maps. They're trying to fix it in the new beta, so it won't be long. Airborne blobs are also pretty annoying and i hope they are working to fix that in the beta as well. What you need to do is make a stuka and keep it far and safe. Also keep the airborne blobbers off the munitions because they are weak without munitions. No bomb runs, no strafe runs, no recoiless without munitions. Another thing to do if you have a PE partner is to have him put a ketten cloaked at his HQ and bomb the fuck out of the HQ after they retreat a massive blob (maybe help a little with prop war?).
Hummels/sector arty is also good against that shit.
