Section 2. of the playtest sticky states:
"2. Map Contest. The top community submitted maps will be added to the PlayTest! These maps will be part of the auto-match loop as well as random play. The winners will be announced at the end of the beta, by you!"
Can this be clarified. I have read other posts regarding the new maps and it appears that only the best map for each sized game (1 v 1; 2v2; 3v3; 4v4) will be included in the final patch. If this is the case, it is a great shame. The game at present is getting somewhat stale with the current groupings of maps and regular online players all agree that many new maps are needed. The optimal solution for same is to have each map included in the playtest put to a vote in regards to quality. If the community agrees to the map reaching a high quality, then it is included in the next patch. If the map is rejected, then the map not included.
If the above is followed, we could see (hopefully) two or three new maps for each different size game - this would lead to a happier online community, with a more diverse range of maps on offer.
