:moefixed: From the Relic website
Company of Heroes Online is the upcoming title by Relic in partnership with Shanda in China. Allies and Axis players will be able to compete in RTS missions to gain Levels, acquire special Army Items, unlock Hero Units, and new Commander Abilities! With new maps, new game types, and added levels of strategic depth, Company of Heroes Online greatly expands the multiplayer experience for the franchise!

And why is this being released in China only? Wouldn't it be better to release it in the US or Europe? you know, places that actually had something to do with WWII?? where people would be more interested in the game because it has something to do with those countries histories etc....
Hey Relic! I have a good idea for another game. "Defend the Great Wall Online". That would be fun and we could release it for maybe Australia ONLY!!!!!! That would be the perfect market for that game. I want a job Relic.

If you are really in China, you will hope you can play CoH:OF not CoH Online.

CoH Online is a joke.

get to know your history Froggod, China played quite a big part in the Pacific, aiding the allies against the Japanese.

^ What Polo stated.

Why are you ranting about a game RELEASE?... It's in there own version to make it seem more cool and etc, but in this case more RPG-ish to get some players into it... but I am doubting anyone would buy it since everyone there is a pirate... (I've been to China so bare with me)

And why is this being released in China only?
Because their contract with Shanda is exclusive and because every time they released a patch for the original CoH game they got 900k downloads of it in China. For a game that they never released there.

Either way, this is essentially a rant. They haven't stated that it will never come to Europe/US, but their contract with Shanda requires exclusivity for at least a reasonable period of time (I don't know how long exactly). Frankly, consider it a blessing; because it means that if it ever does come out in the west, it should be reasonably bug-free and/or balanced, since they'll have had time to deal with any issues from the Chinese release.

Why you somehow think that the only people who have a right to play a game are the ones that actually participated significantly in the historical version of said game is something so mind-boggling I can't even comprehend.
