The original DoW series was great, and what made it really great in my opinion was how it worked perfectly in Ubuntu when running in Wine. So I'm suggesting/hoping that DoW 2 will work equally well in Linux distros like DoW did. I don't know whether how well a game works in Wine is affected by the devs though, so it could just be luck with the engine, but if it's anything the devs have an influence on I really hope they can make it so that it works in Wine like DoW did. :)

OP: This is not just a Games for Windows game, it's a Games for Windows: LIVE game. Don't hope for too much.

Really doubtfull because of the omnipresent M$ and it's policies, but we can always hope :D

Yeah, most Games for Windows titles don't seem to work, that sucks, :( although I'm assuming it's mainly the way the engine is set up that affects how likely it is to work in Wine, so it's not really something Microsoft can prevent, except by trying to get them to make the engine as unnecessarily complicated as possible, which would just be stupid.

If you can't get CoH to work in WINE, that'll be a pretty good indicator that DoW2 won't either.
