Hi,

I have 2 simple questions:

- is it possible to garrison an ally's forward HQ ?

- when a squad has a mix of weapons, which weapon is dropped first ? does it depend on the order the squad was upgraded / picked up the weapons ? If a strurmtruppen squad has 2 MP44 and 1 panzerschreck, can the schreck be dropped on the second casualty ?

Weapons don't drop until only troops with Heavy weapons are left. So with your scenario, when the 2 MP44's and the Panzerschreck are all that are left alive in the squad, it would be the "Order of Kills" of those men that would determine the order of the drops.

Also note that all Heavy Weapons have varying percentage based chances to drop.

For details, non-Beta based, see the link below.

The answer to your first question is "No". The building belongs to your ally now and you can't garrison it anymore than you can a bunker built by somebody else.

MP44s don't drop, and the Schreck will drop (based on a percentage chance) when the holder dies.

Other upgrade weapons that don't drop:
MP40s
Gewehr 43s
Thompsons
Riflegrenades
Scoped Enfield (Recon Tommy)
Flamethrowers
FG42s

a heavy weapon drops when a particular critical is hit on the holder when he dies. often such a critical is not hit and the weapon is simply handed to the next able heavy weapon holder. if none are left the heavy weapon will go into reserve untill one heavy weapon holder arrives

Indeed, because I noticed that a heavy weapon dropping when the squad no longer has enough men for it doesn't always happen... I remember a situation a while back when (IIRC) I had a gren squad with an LMG42 pick up a BAR (as I was low on munitions and figured the squad was better off having a BAR now than a second LMG much later on)... Twice did the squad get dropped down to one man, but in neither case did the BAR (or the LMG) drop and the squad's effectiveness against infantry stayed listed as "2+3"... Other times, however, I've had a squad fall to having just one man left and one the squad's two heavy weapons has indeed dropped....
