Live stuck on "downloading your profiles"

Hello,

I sign into live, and then it moves to "downloading your profiles this may tkae a few minutes" and then just hanges there indefinately, does anyone know what I can do to get around this?

I've already tried fowarding ports 3074, 88 and 53

I had the same problem.

First thing: disable your firewall (this helped me, allowing steam connecting to network won't help)

Second: Set steam on English. In your Live account set your country to eng. speaking too. Might help.

Does this seriously work? I don't get "stuck" I get my network adapter isn't up to date bullcrap. Everytime I like a game that is coming out by Relic they choose the shittiest online services.

i never had such issues before (cable 3 mb/s)
