So. Ive an 8600GTS Geforce card.
Big ass fan on it. And the antec 900 case aswell as the intel duo 2 core pro 7200. Running at I think its 2.53 ghz.
Running Vista 64x with 1 gig of ram.
(I have 1 slot left and a 512ram stick (which is feq 555...)

Now. Heres the thing.
Id like to know if there is a way beyond using fraps. ala a code to type in to see my FPS of the game whilst ingame.

And Id also like to know if the ram i have is currently the issue as to why my system is mainly running(and lagging when it comes to online play) through its current ram?

last time I checked. 7600gts was the recommended card which usual means medium settings.

Ive turned down the Geforces control panel settings from quality to performance and I still lag. granted. not asmuch but I still do.

Any tips. please, throw them at me.

I can stand playing this game on medium. which I should be able to by all rights. surly?

Why are you running Vista64 with 1GB of ram? 1GB isnt enough to run that OS, that just about covers background processes and windows itself.

I dont know what kind of memory you have but DDR2 is ~$26 on newegg for 4GB with a rebate. Your system will be massively faster, 64bit runs much faster when you go over the 32bit limit Ive heard, and theres no reason ever to run it if you have only 1GB and you even have a dual core over 32bit Vista/XP.

8600GTS will run the game fine, I used to have one and ran CoH on high with it (same engine).

DoW 2 seems to be quite more GPU intensive than CoH, though. My Radeon HD 3200 ran CoH fine on high but I barely scrape by on medium in DoW 2.

Thank you. confirmed what I thought was the problem.

As for newegg. im a UK guy so. I cant buy anything from there. fear not. Ill have to pick up 4 gigs of 800 from my local store or online, whichever.

Eitherway. ill be ready for the game upon release.
Assuming Ill even buy it. lol.
