No text bug

I have a weird bug that replaces all letters in both the menu and ingame with square boxes.
it makes the game extremely hard to play obviously, so wanted to hear if anyone knew how to fix it.
I dont get any error messages, everything seems to be running smoothly... theres just no letters (or numbers I suppose) in the entire game...
come to think about it, theres no intro movie playing either, maybe it has something to do with it...

Sounds like a graphics card issue.

Which graphics card do you have, and what driver do you have installed with it ?

have a GeForce 8800gt, using the 182.22 driver, running vista 64

I'm having the same problem. I've tried reinstalling my graphics driver but it didn't solve the problem.

Spec:
Ati 4870 with 8.12 drivers
Vista 64-bit
Intel e8400


EDIT: I fixed the problem by changing my steam language to english!
