Problem with Games for Windows

Hey,

I try to log in onto my Xbox Live account, but the game keeps saying that the password is wrong, even though i can log on perfectly in the program Games for Windows it wont work on DoW.

Also, when I try to create an entirely new Live account i get linked to a non existant website. Long story short, I cant play the beta.

The networkstatus says my internet-ip isnt logged in, so i tried disabling my firewall but that didnt work. Any idea what i can do? Thanks in advance.

You could try port forwarding the Live ports. Though if you can log-in from your Xbox to Live, you should be able to from your PC as well (provided they're in the same network and you didn't forward the Live ports exclusively to the IP of your Xbox).

In your case I'd check if pass is correct (using ctrl-v) on xbox.com, then ctrl-v in-game (don't launch the seperate GfwL executable).
Nothing fancy springs to mind here, I'm afraid you'll have to check out their support fora on gamesforwindows.com

I've typed the password at least 10 times, so that cant be the problem.. My xbox connects perfectly so unless GFW and XBL use different ports that shouldnt be a problem either (atleast not with my ISP)

Found the problem:

THQ had given me a custom version of Games for Windows, that was blocking actual internet connection.. using the real GFW works perfectly :)
