Anyone find the combat boring?

Most of the time I play, the actual combat only lasts a few seconds before one of the players is suppressed and forced to retreat =/

I heard there a several possibilites to avoid getting supressed. So how about use them?

THe point is that battles only last a few seconds in dow 2.
