Hi - tooltips and manual once the retail game comes out will probably answer these - but a few facts I'm still trying to figure out:
Can any ability or commander besides Apothecary revive fallen commanders?
What are the reinforce points besides HQ? There's the global spore drop the tyranids have, the satellite thing for the Techmarine, and the various transport vehicles - anything else? Wish Eldar webways could...
I noticed in one game it seemed that occupied buildings could become a forward HQ like in CoH - was I seeing things or is this case in DoW2 as well...?
Thanks to whoever can fill me in....
You can revive your allies commanders with your own in team games. Otherwise, you've got to buy him back for a cost. Depending on the level, it can be anywhere near 800 requisition, but the cost slowly declines the longer he stays dead untill it bottoms out at 250 requisition to revive him. Reviving is instant and he re-appears at your HQ.
There are a few ways to reinforce in the field:
There are reinforcement "special abilities": The Warboss can use their WAAAGH power to call out new boys to reinforce squads near your commander and boost their damage, the Hive Tyrant can spawn a Broodling Nest which allows you to reinforce troops near it, the Space Marines can call down Drop Pods which do damage to nearby troops and knocks them back, while reinforcing your nearby squads AND giving you a Tactical Marine Squad, and I'm not 100% sure what the Eldar get.
There's also Wartrukks / Razorbacks that allow troops near them to reinforce.
I haven't noticed buildings allowing me to turn them into a forward HQ - but I think they heal your troops as long as they're inside. Apparantly it's only for certain races, and I only play Ork, so perhaps the Eldar or Space Marines can convert buildings into forward bases.
Hope I helped!

How in team games do you revive your allies' commanders?
Not too sure - haven't done it myself; but I know that's touted as one of the things you can do. I've seen it on the loading screens plenty of times. It's something to do with reviving them with your own Commander, however.

You right click on the commander you want to revive with your commander unit selected.
I really wish more people would learn how to do this, as it would save a lot of resources for the whole team.

Wow - that's a pretty crucial thing to know too - I guess cause it's a beta there's not much explanation of the dynamics of how things all work yet - but thanks I'll be sure to pass that on to future teammates...

When you hover over a fallen hero with yours selected you'll get a green circle with a green "healing" cross icon to let you know you can revive them.

Just click on them with your commander. Reviving takes a few seconds but does not revive them with full hp. Only about 30-40% hp.
