Unable to Launch (athlon)

I have an AthlonXP 2500+
I believe this may be the causer of the problem but I am not entirely sure. Launching the game does next to nothing. It comes up with the popup saying: "Preparing to launch..." fades out and then the story ends. Nothing else happens. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I don't see an ability to upload dxdiag's to this forum. And external links are not allowed..

Your processor is unfortunately below minimum spec to run DoW II, the minimum requirements are :

* Windows XP SP2 or Windows Vista SP1
* P4 3.2 GHz (single core) or any Dual Core processor
* 1 GB RAM (XP), 1.5 GB RAM (Vista)
* A 128MB Video Card (Shader Model 3) - Nvidia GeForce 6600 GT / ATI X1600, or equivalent

i am having the same problem and looking for help i have tried everything i know.

Attaching the files to a post will work as well and is the best way.

Rocky_Relic, your CPU is below the minimum specs, that might be the problem.

kazuyr, we need the full dxdiag.txt.

I know my processor appears to be slow, but does p4 stand for the AMD's? After all a 1.8 AMD is like a 2.5 intel (somewhat). Still below the minimum I guess...
Although what puzzles me is why the game does not even go so far as to start a process for warhammer. Is this simply a fail safe built into steam?

Oh and, Maniac it may be useful to tell us where this this attachment capability is :)

The minimum is a 3.2GHz P4, so you would need a CPU around a Athlon3200+ to match it. :-\

When you post look below the text window in the additional options, there you will find the "Manage Attachement" button to upload the txt-file. ;)

Maybe it's unavailable to normal members. Only options I get is "automatically parse links in text" and "disable smilies in text"
a second box simply let's me choose a subscription option for the thread.

As for the processor, it's slightly dissapointing to hear but I still have a beast computer at my other house which can run crysis on max settings :D Intel duo of course, should run this game no problem at all :cop:

The key thing is the game requires SSE2 which Athlons Xps do not support.
