3v3 games frequently unplayable

I'm finding that a lot of 3v3 games are far too laggy to be playable and I'm having to drop the game after a minutes or so (due my inability to deal with a game that is running at half speed). Is it me or is this happening to everyone?

Ranked 3v3 is a pain.

But custom 3v3? Been lucky so far. The occasional lagfest yeah. But occasional.

3v3 'find a match' is very constantly laggy, but I only think that is because Relic didn't localize very well with that system.

However, in custom games, its the players fault if its lag. IE people who join hosts whom they have 200+ ping to. You don't do that in any game, let alone an RTS. Everytime I had a host + players with 100-150 ping, my games where fine, and I could play them.

Honestly though, I prefer 2v2. Much more of an emphasis on strat then zerg tactics.

Must just be you guys, the only people who lag for me are the ones who refuse to put their settings on low even though the game plays the same. They really want to look at some bush on the ground or see a tiny little high-rez crack in the wall.

Alternativly you have a broken version like my friend. Games so laggy even the Windows Live windows lag(they don't for me). I googled it and he might have a broken version of steam or need to redownload the game.

Also, stuttering is a definate sign of overheating. I tell this to everyone, because 90% of the time for laptop users overheating is the issue. Those fans on the back of your laptop? Yeah, those clog up with dust. You have to unclug them. Boom problem fixed. Worked in COH. My brother doesn't believe me, his came runs like garbage while mine has 0 problems at all. Our laptops are exactly the same in every other respect. Only difference is he refuses to admit his fans are clogged and I already cleaned mine up.

Well since this is the strategy section I suggest you first use combined arms with ad-aware, spybot and AVG and create arcs of fire to clean your computer of tyranid virus and eldar spyware and adware. Next flank the desktop and look for drivers that need to be updated. If all else fails spam money and buy a new computer that exceeds the requirements and then try and get enough gens up to power a better internet connection. By the way why is this in strategy?

I lol'd. I don't lag, except when someone else is lagging so my game slows down to keep speed with them. All I can say is: Newbs should turn their damn graphics down.
