So, Windows Live just turned into MySpace. Presumably in an attempt to gain some online traction against these very popular social networking services. What do you think of the change?

Having used it some it seems to be an extension of the whole "Live Anywhere" idea. The calender especially seems useful. I like this development. Maybe if it integrates well with 7 this whole turnover won't be quite so dissapointing. Except of course the whole social network thing that I am now going to be dragged into because MS did it.

I don't see any myspace. I sign in and..that's it.

Yeah, I just logged in for the first time in weeks and noticed an old friend had Messengered me, thanks to its combined interface.

I kinda like a hub like this. I've switched over time from a "Microsoft" online identity to a "Google"/gmail online identity, and this tool allows me to better coordinate contact attempts from my long-ago contacts that used to hit me via Hotmail and Messenger.

The Windows Live! Skydrive (http://skydrive.live.com/) is the best thing ever. Free 25 gigs of online storage? I'm all over it. Google and Windows Live is a very potent combo.
