not sure how this works, the last time i tried it in game nothing happened -IE no restoration of previous tanks lost - i noticed a circular symbol above an "alive" tank similar to blitzroeg assault i think

i tried it in skirmish mode as well after purposely loosing 2 m10s but nothing happenned again, what am i doing wrong, i looked on coh-stats but there is no explanation other than what the button says in game...

and i searched on here didnt find the answer in the 1st 20 or so replies

off memory it only works on Sherman’s now (tho that may be wrong) and you only get a max of 2 tanks back these 2 arrive at your unit call in point.

Ps it has been ages since I used this 1.71 was the last time.

Allied War Machine will automatically replace Any tanks lost while the ability is active with a freshly produced tank of the same type. you can tell when the ability is active by the giant spinning circle which appears above your tanks. so long as that symbol is above your vehicals, if destroyed they will spawn back at your base.

through the versions it has been nerfed and nerfed again because it was simply too powerful making the enemy player capable of keeping a battalion of tanks on the field by simply OPing a bunch of munitions points.

in the current rendition of AWM which is arguably under powered-
It is very breif (15-25 seconds i think)
Only 2 vehicals are replaced (tanks destroyed while ability is active)

ultimatly the ability is useless because any axis player worth his salt will simply ground attack with his anti tank manually preventing it from killing your tank so long as the ability is active waiting until the ability is over before killing the tank.

thats far from useless. u can do damage while he cannot and it takes a considerable amount of attention and micro to let all at weapons do ground attack, making it easier for u to beat him.

^^ i wouldnt consider that worth 200 munitions.

acctually you are wrong. Just because the ability is active does not make your units impervious to damage nor is it that micro intensive. if you rush 2 shermans forward into a fight and one gets to 5% when you hit AWM i simply cycle off what my forces are focus firing at to the OTHER sherman. and if the ability is still active when THAT tank hits 5% (which it usually isn't) i'll just focus fire on Another target or ground attack some random point.

when the ability ends, you have 2 good as dead tanks which will still die shortly there after and are out 200 munitions while gaining absolutely nothing.

that is why the ability is under powered and considered largely useless.

that is why the ability is under powered and considered largely useless.Paul nailed it.

Noone with a brain is going to finish off a tank which has a huge sign saying "if you kill me now I'll be back before you can say micro". Just throwing this out there, perhaps if the big indicator was removed then it might be feasible?

l agree with Arkandea.. Relic incorporated a diverse set of variables into the game.. and if they are not usable.. what a waste.. if the indicator wasn't visible.. and yopu opponent/s were not adivse of the upgrade occurring.. then it would be a much better option in deciding a tech tree.. but this whole thing goes back to vCoH when tanks were prominent in every game. There wereso many coming out that for the 200 muni you would just rush 5-6 tanks, lose a few and have them replenished. They have since castrated it to only giving wht? one? back? And at the same time neutered the Armor Doctrine for allies as well as make Allied tanks harder to get.

It was a domino effect and it was never corrected. The symbol isn't really the problem. It's the fact that you may only have one or two tanks and it's just as cheap to buid one than pay 200 muni for a "free" one

it wasn't that AWM was nerfed... it was that Axis anti tank was Fixed. nerfing AWM as well as fixing axis AT is what did the allied armor company in. which is why it is considered under powered.
