Mission Briefing

Commander, the time has finally come to end the Ork threat with one crushing blow. We have finally located the Ork horde's most powerful chieftain. 'Warboss Bonesmasha has led his Orks against Imperial holdings across three worlds. The fear he inspires has been driving the Ork invasion. 'Bonesmasha is the ultimate leader of all the Orks you have faced since your arrival in the sub-sector. He will not rest until he has conquered the sector.
And so long as he remains alive, the Orks will continue to undermine any defenses we deploy against the Tyranids. 'Bonesmasha must be stopped, once and for all.

Primary Objectives:
- Eliminate Warboss Bonesmasha
-

Secondary Objectives:

For 5/5 Resilience on Primarch:

Thule can tank the Warboss in his first phase (grenades) and third phase (close aoe) but shouldn't be used in the second phase (directed line attack) due to his awful turn circle. Termi-Thaddeus is excellent for dps in every phase if you've gotten the invincible after teleport/jump perk. The waves can easily be dealt with by Cyrus with about 5 or 6 det packs.

Don't even think about bringing your FC in unless he's ranged. If he's melee, keep him at the Relay Beacon and use Battle Shout just before teleporting Thaddeus in for extra damage.

Melee Tarkus can tank the Warboss throughout, so long as his health is still 'bugged' (it increases to around 2400 over the course of the battle for no given reason) but still needs to be very careful with retreat during phase 2.

Wow, that was tough.

Managed to eventually take him down.

Im at level 15, used scout, tactical, and devastator teams.

Not much seems to damage him, and the reinforcements cause problems.

I would advise use the scout to take out lingering orks using grenades. Also clear out all of the map, to ensure there are plenty of healing thingys, as you will need them. I almost gave up, as I got him down to about 10%, but had no specials left, and couldnt get past his latest reinforcement/ Fortunately, sending in a unit caused a big meteor (or bombardment?) to come down which damaged the warboss considerably. Use this as much as you need, and then finish him off once he is down to nothing.

This was on the second hardest level.

I just beat this mission on Primarch using Cyrus, Tarkus and Avitus. Mostly Tarkus and Avitus kited the warboss around while the others shot him. I used Cyrus to plant remote explosives on the road the reinforcements come from and other than that the occasional high powered shot on the warboss or random survivors of the remote bombs.

I brought out the FC during his 2nd and 3rd phases because the warboss special attacks take so long you can get some good hits in on him. Also if you have a banner equipped you can use it after you take 1 hit and it will continually heal you until the WB starts doing his special attacks and lets you heal to full.(My FC is melee)

The fight took a while but I got a 5/5 resil rating for it.
