Hi just got the game and having abit of problems, the game runs a lil choppy but I don't mind that, however I get little black boxes replacing the smoke and fog effects in the game, I could do without them and woulden't mind turning them off however that seems impossible.

I've already updated my current video card driver and the other requirements more or less are fulfilled, any suggestions as to how to get rid of the black boxes?

Your spec is alittle under the required.
Try updating your graphic cards driver (If there's a newer version available)

Yeah already did that, still the same black boxes. And yeah I know my specs suck, but it's what I got, odd thing is that RA3 runs fine with a touch of lag same for L4D. Thanks much for the reply though.

i have it, same computer and same grafic card

type -dev -cmdline_exist -game - dev

into the shortcut, i gues - dev is the right one

then in the game press ummm, tilt, the buttom left of one and above the tab key, there type fx_toggle

and thats it no more special effects, hehe

have fun

Yeah, that card is below the minimum requirements for the game. You can either live with the black squares or turn off the effects completely as dreamo suggests...however in DoW1 using the -dev command line prevented you from playing online, this may also be true in DoW2.
