View Full Version : Keep getting kicked from online matches

I've played 5 matches so far and i've been kicked from every one with a message that I should check my graphics settings or my router/windows firewall. This happens suddenly and without warning, and when it happens I get messages that everyone else in the game has left and I return to the score screen as if the match ended normally.

I can run the singleplayer fine at ultra settings and while i'm playing online I have no framerate problems. A couple of matches were a bit laggy generally but other times it has been pretty much perfect.

I have the GFWL ports open on my router firewall so my connection should be fine. Is there any way to check if my connection is being affected somehow?

This is getting quite frustrating because 4 out of the 5 kicks have been counted as losses even if we've been winning (this has been in team battles btw). I didn't have this kind of problem during the beta so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Can you better describe the symptoms? My graphical performance is fine, perfect, the game runs beatifully in a 1v1 game, but in a 3v3 I just lag like crazy and eventually get kicked.

Since you say its team battles it leads me to believe this is the same issue as me. The game starts ok, then my ping to all other players gradually increases to 1500, then the game just lags until I get kicked.

I can play things like COH and DOW1 without any issues whatsoever.

All my ports are open (DMZ, PnP enabled) and people with the same router as me have no issues.

I don't think this is related to my computer or setup.

Can anybody else confirm this? I've had this issue since day 1 in the beta :/

During my trubleshooting quest i've noticed that under network information in GFWL home it said that I had strict NAT. I know this causes problems with xbox live so it's probably gonna cause issues with GFWL. Anyway, I have changed my router for a different one (the one provided by my ISP is a bit of a turd) and my NAT type has now changed to open. Possibly coincedence and not sure if that's what is causing the problem (I haven't yet had a chance to try another match). It might be worth checking your NAT to see if it is strict.

I've had the issue with 3v3 lag as well. Some games it will be perfectly fine, other games I will constantly ping 2000 to everybody and they will say I am lagging.

This is the one issue putting me off buying the game.

I'm using a WPN824v2 with my computer DMZ'd.

I have had this issue on XP and Windows 7.

I have the exact same problem!!

It's very frustrating, and makes play fairly pointless.

Updated graphics drivers, sound drivers and windows update.

Turned off all firewalls malware programs and turned graphics settings down as low as possible.

Nothing works, what is the deal?? Is this juts people kicking me with a vote?

Solved my problem, I have a wireless setup at home. Pluged the crossover cable into the modem and now it works fine.

Must have been dropping out every now and again

It might be specifically related to the way GFWL handles CERTAIN network setups. Haven0 reported he had reproduced said bug, which is good... I've had others tell me they experience it too.
