ugh...game crashings makes it a chore to play

Im running vista 32 on a new pimped alienware rig with updated drivers and have some many crashes/unable to make file/etc etc i don't even want to bother putting the cd in anymore. I played one game on multi and as soon as I go to save crash. Mid mission in nomral: crash. Go to save squad upgrade...crash. I've got a ton of other games on this thing and not one gives me the problems of DOW2.

Put it on medium settings until they release the fix for this problem mate, i have the same issue. its annoying but if you put it on medium at least you wont crash all the time.

New alienware system myself here m8. Crashing too. I got Vista 64 but if you put the settings on medium and relaunch the game after each mission you will most likely be able to play through a mission without crashing. Make sure you relaunch the game between missions though.

Sucks I know.

The game is absolutely gorgeous with ultra settings.

If you are going with the default view the difference between Medium and Ultra setting's isn't day and night.... however if you zoom in with Medium settings it's just ugly. The biggest difference I noticed was that the armor wasn't as shiny.

The game looks great at default view with medium settings.

Running vista 64-bits. Just lowerd some of the settings. Not all of them. I can check to see wich ones so you can try it if you whant to?

got it: Shadows, effects and rain are at medium but the rest is max. Works for the most of the time. Has crashed only one time and that was after a long time playing

I have just gotten into the habit of relaunching after every mission. I can wait on a permanent fix.

Game has 0 crashes on Medium graphics.
I can live with it until the patch.
