So you can no longer hotkey multiple units?

In DoW1 I always had the hotkeys set like "1" for the entire army, "2" for heroes, "3" for anti-vehicle units etc..

But I don't seem to be able to do the same thing in Dow 2. I tried to bind all my squads and heroes to "1" and wanted to bind my grenade-throwers to "2" and my stealthers to "3" - no luck. It overwrites the previous hotkeys. Seems like every unit can only be assigned to one hotkey now.

Am I doing something wrong? Or just another stupid design choice?

As far as I know, you're right, which is annoying for me because i like to team up my commander with units, in SP anyway.

Yeah, this has been around since COH. Its a little annoying, but its not like you have to manage 20 plus squads anymore, so its not as bad as it seems.

I discovered that you can select all with CTRL+A (just like selecting all files in Windows). Not sure if you can bind this to a single key though. Hope this helps anyway.

... and Ctrl+A works only as "all units on screen" not "all units"

You can group them together in multiplayer just fine.
