I've noticed this term alot in this forum and im not quite sure what it refers too, usually i see it when the DOW is compared to the TT.

It seems like that if some part of the game is "fluffy", its true to the TT and/or the lore of wh:40k.

Am i correct in this assumption?

Fluff is the lore or backstory of Warhammer 40k. Tabletop is TT, these two are mutally exclusive from one another considering one is a setting that works more for fiction and the other works more for gameplay.

Therefore when someone says something is or isn't fluffy, they're referring (or should be referring) to the actual background lore of Warhammer 40k's universe.

You are indeed. If it follows the 'fluff' (great term for it really), it follows tabletop designs and canonical backstory by GW.

Yes. Mostly true to the lore, though, not TT.
