Currently i have been using a warlock with the sword that drains energy and increases ranged power with the force field armor and warp throw. the shield is supported by the sword so i gain energy as fast as i lose it through the sword.
what do you guys think of that plan, i normally run with 3 gaurd squads and i was wondering should i upgrade for nades as soon as i have power for them?
thanks

I find nads are THE thing a eldar should aim for. A well used grenade will rape cluster races like orks and nids. I had such a good game against a tyranid player using ravanger i put 3 grenades down his throat when his army appeared and i manage to kill atleast 50% of his whole army its was a major YEY to see all his warriors get chewed up hahahahaha

I don't believe the Merciless Witchblade leeches energy; it only drains it. That is, its attacks damage both health and energy bars.

Correct, it only drains. The blade adds some cool attack moves as well though.
The warlock has a mana regeneration aura which causes units around him to regenerate mana 30% faster.

That blade apparently does the highest dps too.

I've been taking Channeling Runes as my first upgrade when I build early Banshees. Channeling on Banshees is almost on par with Fortune.
Pros:
Shees don't die and stay at full health (assuming they're not subjected to too much focus fire)
All shees will remain alive; no need to reinforce and higher DPS
Cons:
Warlock can't contribute much to the fight (he stands still and only uses ranged attacks)
Long cooldown (60 seconds)
I think Channeling also lasts longer than Fortune, but I'm not sure.

i was getting knocked back by a warlock via his ranged attack. i'm not sure what grants this ability but i would guess the merciless witchblade as it is said to buff ranged ability.
off topic, but applicable to this thread: i personally enjoy casting immolate on suppression teams, forcing them to either retreat or be knocked to half health and finished off by a guardian squad. not difficult to execute and exceptionally useful in tier 1 in opening up lanes for your guardians to push the ranks.
an interesting tactic with immolate, especially againts blobs: engage in melee, cast immolate early on top of your lock, pop your energy shield, watch everything around you burn or retreat, support your lock with a guardian squad or two, petition a gm to add a /teabag emote.
immolate is immensely effective against tyranid and orc blobs, especially in t1, and is surprisingly effective against units with setup time weapons. by the time they notice and pack up their gun, they're at 2/3-half health. if i can save a plasma grenade by spending a meager amount of hero energy i'll do it every time. in my opinion, immolate is an underused yet effective tool in the lock's arsenal.
that said, however, imo the witchblade is necessary if you're facing any hero with an energy shield of his own.

you might try the Cloak of Shadows with Banshees Hellic, anything to close distance and support Banshees against multiple Tactical Squads. The cloak is also very useful for concealing Guardians to launch grenades in buildings, around corners etc
