Yeah, I read that last night. It's helped me with a bit of my usage of guardians. Which, honestly, determines win or loss, IMO, because of their usefulness in all tiers.
Awsome. I knew about dancing but i see i have to practice it a bit more. Also i need to set up those shields. That was a great tutorial. Many new ideas that has to be tried out.
I already do all that, apart from the tiered shields, hadnt thought about putting down levels of them.

I read it, and tried it and i succeeded.
I didn't know about shields being directional. They'll be seeing a lot more use.

I didn't know shields took 100% of the damage up to 1000hp. That's fucking awesome. I always just thought it was placable heavy cover.

shields man... that guy hammers em. they are bordering on OP but they take THAT much more microing that they deserve results. One thing i noticed is that melee units have to charge around shields... don't set them up too close, set em up in running routes

I'm sceptical about the accuracy of the claims made about the shields.
I just did a quick test and they don't seem to be one directional at all. The way they seem to work is that units in contact with the shield can fire through it from either direction while units firing from a distance will hit the shield before they can damage anything behind it.
So unless enemy troops receive protection from them in a different way they should be able to use them against you. However, if you have shields then you already have the prefect shield removal ability with plasma grenades.
Another tip for using grenades against units in buildings is that if you throw the grenade into the building's doorway rather than directly into the building you can still damage the enemy squad. This way they can't avoid the grenade just by leaving the building as they'd still walk into it.
I always threw one nade into the building and one nade at the door at the same time. Cheers for that info.

if a grenade is thrown on the other side of the shield in relation to the units said shield is protecting, will the shield absorb the damage before being destroyed or will the explosion hit the units anyway.
or perhaps the units will still take some damage but a mitigated amount...?
