Hey guys, I downloaded my game directly from Steam, and I'm not quite sure how to load mods.

I've done it plenty of times in the past when I had the directory and such. With Steam though, there's seems to be no directory for my game at all. I'm pretty sure it's keeping the game's data files somewhere on my computer, I just have no idea where. I've looked all through the Steam and THQ folder, but I can't find anything.

Is there a directory for my game at all if I've got it off Steam? If not, is there any way to load mods without having to put them in the directory?

I got my game from Steam, too. Mods work fine.

You'll find your game in ...\Steam\steamapps\common\dawn of war 2.

Yeah, it's kind of buried. ^_^

Just in case you ever wonder what steam does to the files of all the other games (TF2, CS and stuff):
The game archives are stored in *.gcf containers in your Steam/Steamapps folder. Your game will load its content from these archives. However, you can tell it to load custom files instead of those "write-only" archives depending on the game and the mod you want to load.

Actually in the case of DoW 2 it's stored in .ncf files because all the files are actually on your hard drive elsewhere in the Steam folder structure in a local folder of it's own, whereas other games such as TF2, CS etc. have the content in the .gcf files, not elsewhere in their own folder such as DoW 2 has. The .ncf files for DoW 2 don't actually contain anything apart from references that tell steam where the files are located. ;)
