At first I mess up, and just commit some blunders. but I also get worried about taking on a hive tyrant as a exarch, especially since I know warriors are on their way even faster since I let them gain ground. But I microed a bit better, and didn't mess up my tactics and I use the swarm, synapse, and slowness of a few of the tyranid units against them.
Now I just gotta dig up replays where I break down some raveners, even two of them, cause it's quite doable, though not easy if your not communicating with your team, and making a point of destroying tunnels.
Nids aren't OP IMO (maybe some tweaks here and there), just using them is more straight forward for most people. The counters for them only a few are easy to realize, like AOE weapons. But using the available cover, since nids usually are more worried about sticking to synapse then cover, choosing to either take on the lighter creatures or trying to drop a synapse creature and creating feed back are all things harder to weigh, and I can't stress enough using their slowness against them. Range is the best weapon against tyranids and swarms in general.
