Here's the situation: a Warlock activates Ethereal Slash/Immolate/Destructor etc., then activates Providence. The special attack's cooldown remains the same, and is not speeded up as it normally is during Providence.

Does this make sense to you, or does this need to be fixed? I can see it either way - no need to power Providence up; doesn't makes any sense to not be fixed.

So Providence needs to be activated first basically?

What the op describes happened to me once and I learned that yes providence has to be activated first. It should be fixed, but I wouldn't mind if it weren't.

if Providence worked by rapidly cooling down abilities already used, the overall duration of Providence would be extended by another 3+ seconds. Whether you see that as a balance factor or not is entirely up to you. However, Providence is insanely powerful, next time you are playing watch how much health can be lost from a single casting of Ethereal Slash. Now times by six or more consecutive castings on an invulnerable Warlock.

if Ethereal Slash and Immolate were modified so as to not constantly cooldown, instead having a single immediate cooldown that would generally be okay. Constant Warp Throw is just neat :)

You just gave me some naughty thoughts with that *giggles*.

Providence + Warp Throw is really insane, I played 1v1 vs a nid recently and i killed his entire army with that and 2 FPs. He couldn't retreat at all.
