For those of you who know, play, and care about Warhammer 40,000 and are wondering if Relic knows thing one about the license some, hopefully, reassuring news:

There are about 15 people at Relic who are hardcore Warhammer players, most of which are on the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War team. We have more than one person here who have been playing since Rogue Trader days (that's 1987 for you non-Warhammer people). We play lots of 40k, and usually have at least a couple of games running at lunch.

I myself have no less than 6 armies (Orks (about 4000 points), Space Wolves, Tyranids, Iron Warriors, and fledgling Tau and Eldar armies), and am an avid collector, painter, and player, so this project is really a dream come true for many of us.

We know you're passionate about the license, just wanted to let you know that we are as well. As always, we'll do our best to satisfy. :)

GuaRRand take your attitude somewhere else.

Great to hear that Relic know what they are doing. You've answered an important question Shadione, thanks.

WoOt!!! That makes me very very happy. (I didn't think there was anyone like that even remotely interested by it anymore.)

what guar meant to say was that he did not mean to derail the thread but rather make a joke on the viking goat thrower humor of hw fame... right guar?

Yes. One of our programmers has a sizable Sisters force.

Very good to hear :D You can imagine how relieved I (and I'm sure all the other 40K players here) are to hear that you guys are passionate about 40K!

This is exciting!!! And to know there is a Tau player in the team is reassuring enough!

I never played 40k. Ever.

It's one of those board strategy games, right? I never did get into those... :\

Yay for Relic, though. I'm sure the game will turn out great.

Power to the Dark Angels Chapter and the Imperial Gueard! Feel the wrath of my baneblade! the most powerfullest tank EVER!, possibly. Imperial Guards are the best, but I don't play anymore.Cost too much on my none working 15 year old arse. I am in Vancouver and have always wondered where Relic is located, Is it Radical that is located beside chintz and company or Relic? hmmmmm. I have some Tau too, I was gonna just get all the cool things and start a Dogs of War army, me and my friends didn't really play by the rules, THIS IS WAR!...ahem. Necron are cool too. I hate chaos, no offense to chas players.

Anyways about Dawn of War, sounds great! Cant wait to see how it turns out, though I will always stay truer to the Homeworld saga, may it continue ever on.....

I'd be thinking so, as the majority of super-heavy vehicles, titans and other exotic vehicles & weapons come from the Imperial Armour books.

That would be me, George. My primary Army is a Sisters of Battle "foot sloggers" list. I also have a massive Tyranid army (mostly unassembled let alone painted) as well as some Tau.
