Coop campaign is basically the same thing, except control is split. The host controls the force commander + One squad, the other controls 2 other squads. There are no special wargear rules...all loot is put into a shared pool that either of you can take from and such.

This isn't technically the proper thread for it, but I'm open for some co-op pretty much any time. My gamertag is "Vasvre." I'm on Pacific Time, which is GMT -7. So if you'd like, send me a friend request and we can try some together.

I find the co-op campaign to be really fun, much better than playing the campaign solo. I'd recommend it as one of the high points of the game.

I agree with falaris, Co-op is a lot of fun, mainly because you have to coordinate quite a lot, even on captain imo.

The only beef I have with co-op campaign is that being the host is a bit boring in the begining. The Force Commander is a bit of a stale unit to begin with in my opinion and tends to function more like an Apothecary, cycling through stim-packs and rally to heal the other units. Doesn't become interesting until you get your first thunder hammer, at which point he turns into a real beast. Just my personal experience.

Other than that though, fun times had by all.

FC can become tons more fun if you give him a Jetpack and pair him up with Thaddeus. Yes, you lose rally, but Rally makes the game a lot more dull.

*But then again, you might get screwed on getting the Jetpack early on bit.

I can say Co-Op is a lot of fun if you know the person well. My friend Slim and I Co-Op and it turned out to be a blast. I recoomend trying it.

You have to start a campaign, and then invite him through GFWL.

Dumb question(s), is Co-op limited to 2 players or it can be done with as many as 4 ?
The campaign advancement is saved for the host only ?
Thanks.

A co-op campaign is no separate beast. If you want to start a co-op game just invite a buddy through GFWL and wait for him to join. Pick an existing campaign or start a new one. The campaign is saved on the host computer as just an other campaign.

In short you can play a campaign solo, co-op or partly solo partly co-up.

Where is the proper thread for this? I'd like to find someone to do co-op with too. My game ID is Dannonn if anyone is interested! :)
