Leveling up in Skrimish mode?

Few days ago, I was playing in Skrimish mode, and on American side one a 2v2 game. After the game it said "Rank up!" or something to that affect. Yet it still says I'm a level one as an American. So I was wondering can I actually rank up from playing in Skrimish mode, or was I seeing stuff, and/or witnessed a random glitch? :help:

It's not a glitch. You get a seperate rank for skirmish, basic match and automatch. But the one displayed in your stats screen is the automatch rank, so that's the one that "counts" if you want.
