Yes I'm the Techmarine of course and no, of course I don't win.
I just don't know what to say about a game like this, it's utterly ridiculous. I only made about one or two mistakes in the whole game. Losing my dreadnought was one mistake, if you can call trading an unupgraded dread for 2 Zoanthropes and a squad of adrenal warriors a mistake. Other than that all the squads I made did their job and hardly took any casualties as I made sure to retreat and heal as much as possible to save requisition.
I just don't see how you can win when your opponent has double your requisition income because he can just let everything he makes die, not having much upkeep, while his single unkillable squad of rippers controls the entire map. :-\

I think his name is something like Dntranceaddict. He's in the top 100 on the ladder somewhere.

Thanks for the replay.
I am seeing more flamers used by SM no in tier 1, not just vs. nids either. I think its an acknowlegement that if you go early Tacs, you need something that can harrass enemy power in the event they are teching. The alternative is to do a 2 gen tech build and get an Early ML, which has great synergy but leaves you exposed if you get caught doing it.
As for the Nids... per the above, I've been going hard on scouts and trying to play the "I can cap stuff too" game. Obviously, its got its flaws as well, but if you can keep the RA light on power, he cant tech fast enough to get all the goodies and deal with scout spam. The up side to this is that you can actually kill a ripper squad or two while you're at it... which seems to really mess up nid players for some reason.

Yes - I've seen more flamer replays lately too - high level players too - especially vs. Ravener - it deals with tunnels, gen destruction, and rippers all in one handy weapon - plus good vs blobs of gaunts. Get some ASM or another tac squad to push the front with the flamers following and hero supporting....

I was quite impressed that you managed to not only take the map in the early game but actually hold onto it for a significant amount of time. Unfortunately, you make 1 or 2 mistakes and it's instant GG no RE. I think what hurt you more than losing the dreadnought was losing your generators, looks like you weren't sure whether to pull back to your own gens or harass his and ended up splitting your forces to try and do both?
It's just sickening how Tyranids can throw away troops, even the more expensive units like warriors and zoanthropes.
I just came out of a game vs a TS 15 Ravener player FFS and the game was still very close and pushed me damn hard. I killed at least 2 ripper swarms, his starting gaunt squad, 2 zoanthropes and a lictor plus I killed his commander at least once but the bastard auto-revived. -_- I lost a tac squad and a predator tank and that was enough to almost cost me the game in the space of about 10 seconds.

I just don't understand how he managed to get all that power for Carnifexes. Its an inhuman amount.

It's certainly a risk going to a flamer as you'll be down one potential missile launcher. Against Nids somewhat easier to take that risk as you don't need an early missile squad quite so badly. Even against Orks, Marked Target/Stim + Meltas can do enough damage to hold off Ork T2 vehicles if they go for them. Personally I tend to save the flamer for nids and not risk it against orks although I might try that.
Your right Chris that it was a mistake not focusing on his generators though I wouldn't say the loss of my own gens really hurt me that much, it was mostly a lack of req that hurt me even though I tried to use drop pods to get the cheapest squads I could. I really didn't think his power income was as high as it obviously was.
