Experience for Priests

I've been itching with this question for long, I wanted to test it myself, but I hardly get priests in the 1vs1 matches.

Do the Priests benefit from the experience that a command tank gives??

In other words:

Do the command tank get experience from watching from far how the Priest rains doom, shock and awe to german positions? :bricks:

Okay the answer is no, Priests do not grant veterancy experience to nearby Command Tanks.

Hummels give shared XP to anything standing next to them when they kill something, could be a balance problem if Priests dont give to Command tanks, but still benefit from the aura.

What about a Lt or Captain standing near the priest?

Already answered at coh-stats.com (I updated the British veterancy pages again).

Lt's and Captains only gain experience from nearby British infantry units that kill enemy infantry units.

Command Tanks are the opposite - they only gain experience from nearby British vehicles killing enemy vehicle units.

also from emplacements.. ive had a captain camping next to 2 25pdrs and after a nice barrage killing a few squads, i looked over, and he was suddenly vet 3. :O

Maybe the 25 Pounder is unique (I kinda doubt the claim that a Captain got Vet3 from it), but most British emplacements do not have any effect on veterancy.

The Cromwell command tank lowers the cool down of a Priest with vet.

Nice, Bodybag, but it doesnt get experience from the Priest killing then.

I'm using 2.500 and last game I played as Brit, Cromwell command tank gained vet3 near Priests.

The Bofors AA squad and 25 pounder squad are listed as being able to share veterancy within a radius of 40 for vehicles (aka the Command Tank). However I can't find proof for the other 3 emplacements (MG nest, 17 pounder, and Mortar) being able to share veterancy. I'm pretty sure they can't as I've tested this before.

So that's probably what's going down.

When I tested the Priest in my first post, they didn't give experience to my Command Tank. If anyone wants to know, I summoned 12 Priests and used them to kill > 20 StuG tanks.

I checked Corsix and Priests should be able to share veterancy experience, so I'm not sure what's going on.
