Nids have bio-plasma, which a fex has access to. However I think that is more traditionally a green colour. Skitarii, being part of the Mechanicus will have access to some of the rarer weapons so it’s perfect feasible it’s they who are shooting the plasma.

It looks like they’ve gone for a completely new story line. It appears to be a new world. Which is good, it gives them much more scope for creativity instead of following a set conflict.

I just hope we get to see a Titan up and close, for once let there be a Titan in a game again, even if its just viewable.. :D

And, next time, make it Wh40K:EPIC instead!

I don't know enough about Warhammer to confirm what it is, or what it isn't, but my questions that arose from re watching the same clip about fifteen times, yes I am so cool, is that, I wasn't aware that Orks had Plasma weapons, or the tyranids, and this appeared to be a Space Marine type plasma weapon.

Orks loot a lot of stuff, they may have that in the game. If somethings bigger and shootier and has more dakka than whats he's currently using an Ork'll pinch it, and I'd imagine plasma guns have got dakka in large amounts.

It could be anything really, from defence platform (they were shooting skyward) to anoter squad of marines to ork looters?

I hope there are some NPC Marines. I know Space Marines are uber awesome, but only a 4-man squad of Marines, defeating an entire Legion of Orks, probably Tyranids, etc, that might be a bit much. It would be nice to see that you've got an army on your side as well, though you're just controlling 4.

Well... I guess you'll be seeing NPC guardsmen being givin' a good stumpin' by da orks!

they should have something akin to cod:WaW zombie shiz, or left for dead..

hordes of orks or other races and ur with a few space marines battering them all - last stand style (last stands are glorified in wh40k afterall..a fitting end to fight against the odds and see if u manage to beat everything)

In those video it did look like there was some other Imperial unit around. When the Drop pod came down there was a Dreadnought walking around mowing ork down. Can't say for sure though.

Yeah, there was definitely a dread in there. And the titan makes guardsmen pretty much a given, as well.

As good as this looks, when do we actually get to see development on a tactical 40k game? Christ...

And please don't give me DoW2, because that is not at all what I mean. Not that it's a bad game, but certainly not what I'm talking about.

Try Chaos Gate. Ancient, but still good.

I can't get it to run on my system. Even with DOSBox. And Final Liberation is meh.

This thread (http://ntcompatible.com/thread26525-1.html) , particularly page 4, seems to have a lot of info with regards to getting Chaos Gate to work.

So far as Space Marine goes, who would be up for borrowing GoW2 Horde mode idea? For those who aren’t familiar with it. It’s basically 1 – 4 players take on gradually stronger waves of the enemy. So long as one of you is alive come then end of each wave the rest will respawn with basic wargear.

For squad-based tactical Warhammer 40,000 games, you also have the prosaically-titled Squad Command for the DS and PSP (the campaign is fairly indifferent but it includes a multiplayer function), and of course the very first one of the whole lot, the Space Crusade videogame adaptation... although you'd need an old PC which still has a floppy drive (ah, remember A:\?) in order to get it to work!

I tried and finished Squad Command (PSP). Its a decent game, but the gameplay is rather shallow IMO, but that's probably due to the handheld platform.

Chaos Gate was quite entertaining, its one of the games that got me hooked on tactical turn based games.

There is a Titan Arm in DoW: WA that you get to fire. That counts. :D
