The last two games I've played have ended with those words.
The first one was over in one or two seconds, before I even had a chance to build anything.
The second game went for almost 30 minutes, I was losing 100 to 400 when I suddenly won.

What does it mean "Player dropped"? They quit? Their connection failed?
I read somewhere that if someone's connection drops it records a dispute and gives a win to the person with the highest "trust" rating, but it didn't record a dispute so they must have just quit? But that doesn't make sense either why would you quit when you're winning, why would you quit two seconds into the game?

Could be they lost connection, or you. If you experience this more often, you should start looking on your side.

This could be due to the recent ATi blunder where the 9.6 Catalyst driver causes COH to CTD after about 30 mins of play.

When the event "Player X has dropped!" occurs, it usually means they just left the game or they were disconnected.

Shortly afterwards, another event called "AI has replaced Player X" will occur (sometimes it bugs and does not replace the player however).

It's only when you get the arbitration screen that you should worry about a dropped connection.

Visit my beginner's guide, stickied at the top of this Boot Camp section, for more information. Or click the link in my signature.

OK so it basically means that their connection was terminated for some unknown reason. Maybe they quit, crashed, got disconnected, ball lightning, etc. but the server could identify that is was at their end.

And then the arbitration would occur when the server is uncertain which party quit/crashed.

Thanks chaps.

PS Yurdle I had already read your guide, thanks for compiling it.
