(2p) Egypt - FINAL

Well, Ive improved Egypt LOADS, its got alot more character now, added lots more cover, buildings etc.

Unfortunately the map editor doesnt want to open any of my old maps, I had to reinstall DoW, so this is the final build. :puppy:

and now for the download, which needs to be put in
DoW2/Gameassets/Mods, and add -mod 2p_Final_Rest into the launch options.

Its been packaged into an sga so mp is now enabled

I (personally) think it's a great map, holds a semblance to some DoW 1 map, whos name I cant remember.

In other news, the map looks good. You have a solid points layout, good detail in the centre.

A lot of people are under the impression that there isn't really a modding scene for DoW2, and are too busy nit-picking every change in the beta to check out user-made maps. *laughs* In all seriousness, though, give folks some time to respond... you just posted the thread yesterday, and most folks like to take the time to download a map and play through it a few times before posting their thoughts on it.

That said, looks cool. Downloading the maps now.

I tried to play the Gordians Rest map but I found it to be too dark plus the lack of a minimap didn't help. I liked your Egypt map though.

The pathing on the Egypt map is broken by the HQ at the right hand side of the map. When I tested it Space Marine units retreating there got completely stuck on a ledge at their base. It could do with a few more resource points as well or the points near the bases should really be further away from the edge of the map and slightly closer to the centre so there isn't so much dead space. The huge generators powering the spotlights also look a bit out of place in my opinion.
