worth of prizes is marketing lingo for merchandise ^.^
according to my clock, only 2 days left, this is gonna be interesting ^.^ (remember, you don't need to make a new map, just take an old one and bring it up to shininess)

There's no maximum map size rule, right? Means I can go wild? :p

yes go wild
1. You may only submit a 1vs1 map.
2. No remakes of maps you have not made, orginality is key
3.You must include an action screenshot, a screenshot of your mini map, an overhead screenshot of your map, and all necessary files in an archive (WinZip, WinRAR).
4. You must post a description of your map with a small screenshot (less than 500 pixels horizontally) and a download link to your map files archive in this thread.
5. If your download link doesn’t work, you will be disqualified. Please find a good file host.
6. Your map must be in SGA format.
7. You must get your map “balance-tested” by other peers in the community before submitting it to dow2live, be prepared to provide at leaste 2 replays on request
8. Upon submission, entrants accept to have their maps treated as fair game in relation to additions to map packs and broadcasting games on these maps.

I would love to enter this competition, I started my map for the other competition on Game Replays, however even if I struggled away to get my map finished for closing time theres no way I'll also be able to get playtesting sessions done. Plus I dont think id be happy rushing my map to get it out in time, ive rushed my other maps because I was too eager to get them out to people and decided that I would take as long as I could (even to the closing date) to release my map, id preffer getting it out so I could get some feedback, but I dont plan on rushing for it.
guess im out, good luck to those that enter though.

Ive only released two 3v3 maps to date :-D, we'll see, you never know I may get more done than I expect and manage to get 2 play tests in before your deadline.

is that really that strenuous a requirement? surely you play on a map a bit before releasing it?

I dont understand where you got the idea I was saying playtesting is a strenuous requirement. Its not that playtesting my map is a problem, only that I didnt believe I would be able to get the map finished in time and also get it tested.
I always test my maps a few times before I release them, I even pass them on to a few friends first so we can have games on them, atleast that was the case with kasyr, one of my friends didnt have DoW2 when I was making fangbreaka so I relied more on feedback from the community after first release.
I was only trying to say that I think its great that you are doing a competition like this (hence the "I would love to enter" comment), even if I cant take part and I wanted to wish everyone good luck. Not all communities have competitions, never mind 2 at the same time and I was only voicing my support, Im sorry I bothered you.

It looks like the deadline has been moved back by 3 days. I encourage everyone with a finished map to give this one a shot, if CoH is an example, then getting your map evaluated by a more competitively oriented community is a rare treat :)

Theres still the game replays competition Jag! You have a few days left on that.
I wonder what happened with this competition. I doesn't seem like they have many entries. I barely knew about it before last friday.
