I think it would be better to seperate this list from the general DoW2 suggestion thread, though by all means mods if it belongs there I'll repost.
We know TLS is getting two new heroes in the form of a Chaos Sorceror and Hive Tyrant. Beyond this what are your hopes for new additions to TLS?
Personally I wouldn't mind more waves and harder foes, for example bigger boss battles such as a wave that introduces several seer councils with an Avatar would be challenging, just an example.
More wargear, though not gained through levelling up, gained as an achievement for defeating new and harder waves. If there were 40 waves and at the end your team is awarded a wargear drop, to use SM as an exmaple perhaps a Grey Knight Terminator armor. As well as acting as a useful piece of wargear this could also serve as a trophy to show other players you beat the last wave.
Any ideas you want to share and maybe the devs will take note and introduce them in future updates, you never know!

The wargear drops sound good.
Wave 30 -
ork snazzgun (from flash gitz in tt)
space marine termie armour
eldar summon seer council
Wave 40 -
ork shock atakk gun
space marine grey knight termie armour
eldar runes of khaine (ideas anyone?)

1. Different maps (at least 2)
2. Random Waves (as in - unknown number of units and unknown squad types)
3. Waves 1-8 cut out or redesigned
4. "Elite" difficulty - more points per kill, but all waves are dead killy (fire prizms, fexes, predators etc)
5. Some underused wargear tweaks (ghosthelm, bolter, chainsword, ork flamer, ork rocket launcher, plasma cannon, frags and others)

- inclusion of Chaos as a common wave type
- healthy dose of additional gear for all characters
- significantly increased level cap, the latter levels being very hard to attain
- Working Experience into score / allowing score multipliers to affect xp gained
That's it really. I really don't have a problem with the waves as they are - waves 1-8 are easy, because they need to be (in my opinion). Hell, the older Warcraft 3 mods often had a single path of entry, and every wave was the same, but the idea of attempting to survive until the end, and building up to the troublesome waves through the easier ones, was what made it so addictive.

I'm thinking that elite wargear such as a Grey Knight Termie armor could offer 'vs race specific bonuses', like a x 2 damage vs Chaos daemons but on the downside it has less than normal damage vs everything else.
Going off the idea TheMonkfish had of the Eldar Ruines of Khaine, they could offer a high armor and regenerative hp aura whilst attacking but the wearer is slow moving or is prone to knockdown.

PLZ rework elite status so that it actually gives something usefull rather than stupid elite tokenz....... Let it be something small but it has to be something usefull

Pretty much everything I want has been said (even new wargear obtained through certain achievements, I.E: gain over 500+ kills in a single game, ect...)
One thing not mentioned though is the introduction of all the units in the game. So far there are pleantly of units not yet seen in TLS.
Slugga boyz,
Lootas,
Kommandoz,
D-Cannon platform,
Bright lance platform, (I just want to point out that Tankbustas are anti-vehicle in multiplayer but yet are effective against infantry in TLS so all other AV can follow this)
Seer council,
Avatar,
Devorstators (both types),
Assault marines,
Techmarine,
Venerable Dreadanought,
Terminators (both types),
Ripper swarms,
Spore mines!
All "tank" based vehicles.
I also would like to see all the new units thrown in including Chaos also I would like the fighting at the end of the wave to be something special, kind of like a boss. Take wave 17 for example; It pretty much always ends with 3-4 Carnifexes that march after a single player and the other 2 just smite the dumb founded Carnifexes that choose to not fight back against those players. Perhaps if those Carnifexes could spawn Rippers or maybe be given bio-plasma to ensure the fight is less straight forwards. Maybe even have spore mines rain down!
These abilities could perhaps not be active till a set time through the wave.

Actually, thinking about the avatar again, I wouldn't mind going through a battle that is similar to the one in the campaign, but with less of a instantly-kill-you-if-you're-slow bullshit. And the avatar having less healtht than in the campaign.

More things.
Certain wargear should be made more useful as mentioned in my thread about ineffective wargear. If all items were good then we will see more builds out there which'll make the game more interesting.
Also have the AI take over a dropped player, the game is pretty much lost when some one leaves and it happens all too often.

I personally agree with allot of what has been meantioned, however I personally would like to see wargear drops or even a link to your hero from sp.
I personally prefer a slow tricle of items than hammering away to get... frag grenades. DAMNIT!!! lol I think variety is cool with only higher loot being dropped by more badass enemies.
Again I would love to see more levels, the same map with the same waves of enemies gets old rather fast. I also would like to see more early waves to improve a slower progression of team play. as sometimes your team doesn't work together and wave 9 and 10 slam into you and a lack of team play can loose these waves easily.

Farseer:
- Throw-able Singing Spear. Honestly, it'd be great for her to be able to throw it in order to take out an important target at the cost of energy and the lack of a melee weapon for the duration, but you can recall it as well. Like the Predator's disc in AVP2.
- Summonable Seer Council, just without the laughable AI of the Captain's dreadnought D:
- Summonable Wraithlord or Wraithguard -- their speed/strength can be enhanced by equipping an accessory, runes of the Spiritseer or such. Then again, it's a Farseer, not a warlock/spiritseer but it could still work >:O.
- An actual USEFUL ghosthelm that makes her helmeted. Should perhaps give her mind war or reduce the energy cost of her spells.

Sorta, I guess?
Since the Singing Spear IS throwable in TT, and can take out tanks with little difficulty.

Here's something, how about adding in some kind of token exchange where you can trade in your "ellite tokens" for wargear that cannot be otherwise obtained. This can be done once you reach rank 20 and the tokens could be worth their number I.E: Ellite token 3 is worth 3 points.
This of course means you'll need to reach rank 20 at least twise before you can spend them (since you get your first ellite token after rank 20) meaning you can't just cash them in as soon as you get them.
The exchange could offer 3 pieces of wargear, one worth 1 point, one worth 2 points and one worth 3 points. You can either cash in you first token (worth 1 point) and get the cheap wargear or wait till you get the next so you have a total of 3 points and can but the most expensive wargear otherwise you'll have to wait till you get that far away ellite token 3 to obtain that one.
It'll offer some form of thinking of what to get first.
After spending all 3 tokens, they'll then be refunded back to you during the course of the waves - through that random pickup system again so you don't get them alltogether and not instantly.
Oh here's another thought - how about making the random pickup tied to specific "bonus units" that must be killed before they dissapear. They could be of a different colour scheme to the rest of the wave's force and even an unique unit so they completely stand out.
I.E: On wave 15, there could be a Bad moonz clan Kommando who'll pop on his infiltration and dissappear after 30 seconds from showing up.
On wave 8 it could be a lone Kraken fleet Ravener who'll tunnel away.
On wave 12 it could be a Ultwi (?) Ranger who'll run off into cover and then cloak out.
Each unit will stay for a while and fight like the rest but once time is up they'll perform some kind of exit, usueally in the form of running towards cover and popping on their infiltration ability. They could also appear different to the normal units such as having the Ravener tunnel in directly into the main arena as aposed to starting in the bays and walking in.

- Getting rid of the separation of chats between the wargear screen and game searching screen!
This should be a nobrainer really since there's no reason for there to be one chat window for the wargear selection screen and another one for the game search screen. There's only three people there max so why you'd want to cut the discussion when you switch between the windows is beyond me.

SM as an exmaple perhaps a Grey Knight Terminator armor
Absolutely not! That armour is for DAEMON HUNTERS ONLY! Space marines have no claim to it what so ever.

There are many things i'd like to see in TLS
1.Rebalance of weak TLS gear and heroes (Im looking at practially of the mekboy's weapons)
2. More maps and gameplay changes, why not a corridor instead of an arena? or maybe even a snow map
3. A way to browse for TLS games like regular MP games, makes gathing buddies much less hectic, and helps for avoiding lagbots
4. perhaps more heroes and more levels
5. randomization on the waves, predictable gets boring after a while
That pretty much sums up anything

^Just seconding this. While the Grey Knights are awesome, i oppose the idea of a lowly captain being able to get one.
Anyway, wishlist? Well, my wishes always involve Necrons, so Necron cameo? Heh, anyway i'd love more heroes but i'm sure that can and should wait for the next expansion(but come on, who doesn't want the Warlock as a dedicated melee dps?), so more waves, wave wargear drops, another map.

- I'd like to see new heroes as well, preferrably Librarian (like he was in CR campaign - accessories and commander items granting certain abilities, weapons and armor boosting them), some proppa melee Ork, etc.etc.
-randomized waves
-more arenas

Last Stand already has a support caster (farseer) and a offensive caster (sorcerer).
why add a librarian? :stick:

This is what i would want most.
1. Ranged Weapons need to deal at least twice as much damage because a Captain with a Bolter/Plasma Gun trying to fight a squad of Gaunts takes for ever, while a Captain with a melee weapon and the Wave Attack can take out the whole squad instantly. I say this because why do we even need war gear that's not as good as other war gear, if it's not as good as melee why is it even there?
2. All most all War Gear combinations should be useful, but instead most item combinations make it waaay harder then using the obvious ones.
3. There should be tons more War Gear for all Characters and each Boss should have a list of items they can drop.
4. War Gear should not determine your character's abilities. That should be completely separate from weapons and armor.
5. New Last Stand Maps, at least 3 more.
6. New Hero's. Each Race should have multiple heroes. For example Orks should have a Warboss, Eldar should have a Warlock or Banshee for offense, ect.

Nonsense. Ranged weapons are much less dangerous to use than melee, there needs to be a payoff for that. Besides, the big shoota already does a ton of damage. Plus the wave attack is a special move, it should be compared to the various grenades and whatnot, not a vanilla weapon.
2. All most all War Gear combinations should be useful, but instead most item combinations make it waaay harder then using the obvious ones.
I disagree, some things just don't combine no matter how you slice it. You can't stick energy heavy stuff on a character with no real energy output or capacity and expect it to work, you can't stick close range abilities on a glass cannon sniper and expect to survive and generally you can't use weaponry intended for fighting in the open with paper thin armor.
3. There should be tons more War Gear for all Characters and each Boss should have a list of items they can drop.
More is always nice but the drops are silly, that's not how TLS works.
4. War Gear should not determine your character's abilities. That should be completely separate from weapons and armor.
You mean the special abilities or the basic stats? I assume the former. Abilities and other stuff are linked or unlinked as a form of balancing, some characters fill their item slots with abilities, others link it to their weaponry or armor. It makes sense to make the use of some abilities a tradeoff so you can have a very durable and powerful character or one with tons of special moves to influence the battlefield with but not both.
5. New Last Stand Maps, at least 3 more.
More is always better there.
6. New Hero's. Each Race should have multiple heroes. For example Orks should have a Warboss, Eldar should have a Warlock or Banshee for offense, ect.
While more is better I think you'll run into a lot of trouble with that, for one thing you'll want to give each a distinct playstyle and that just doesn't always work (many of the regular heroes fill the same roles but with different armies backing them up for different results) and you want them to be roughly equally powerful but with the tons of wargear combinations every hero must have that's going to become extremely difficult.

I want actuall waves. Like SWARMS of RIPPERS nibbing you to death, as it was in 1.3.
The current waves dont have any momentum. Every1 spawns and comes at you. Or goes to middle if concealed and waits for nukes. Its boooring.

to be serious i think last stand should have more choices because in dawn of war 1 the gray knight was in a group fair enough but my friend who is awesome made the Grey knight a commander and Grey knights are cool they should put a gray knight armor or something for the captain and the weapon grey knights use would be a good weapon for knocking back waves of units because it really dosent make sense that a chainsword heals you when you hit something that is the only good weapon there is and i don't want to use it i want something cool and exciting and Ive heard rumors there is no force hammer or daemon hammer for the captain the game has got better graphics and the stuff the from dawn of war 1 is better all i want is to have loads of fun while playing a game that's my say anyway if you don't agree i don't care

Here are my ideas:
- When you reach/complete wave 20 you unlock a special wargear. Up to 5 wargears.
- Experienced mode, replace waves 1-7 with more challenging waves
- Extra waves mode, simples. More waves.
- Defend the base mode, whole new game type. You have to stop the enemy destroying a certain structure.
- Competative mode. 2 teams trying to survive. Special points on the map that give you command points. These can be spent to hinder the other team by making the waves stronger etc. Ability to move between the 2 arenas.
I'm aware a lot of these ideas will require serious work but I think it would be good to expand this second aspect of the game.
I'd like to see more usable heroes myself.

i just want a two-handed thunder hammer for my space marine.. power sword and storm shield would be nice weapons also and make each weapon do i decent amount of damage so it each weapon is a viable choice (example:chainsword and for the space marine doesnt really do enough damgae to be effective in last stand)
a imperial Guard Cadian Kasrkin Trooper as a new hero make and make him more for ranged offense (give him weapons like hellgun, lasgun, and plasma gun) and make the space marine captain more melee oriented...

For IG, a five man command squad, each man with a choice of wargear.
Officer, 4 men.
Men options.
Vox-caster - adds ability
Medi-pack - improves health regeneration
Weapons - plasma gun, grenade launcher, ect.
2 men for heavy weapons team
standard bearer
Officer
much like standard but weaker, extra men make up for this.
Hive tyrant style TANK DROPS
the Doppelgangers should have the same limitations as human player... ie: not be able to call down multiple of the same minion/ doppelganger
 i find it to be really unfair to face an infinite amount of dreanaughts on that level /

Some kind of IG thing, and make him able to call in minions like the Tyrant
more items but make it fair for lower level players :)
