I've only really played, which is the closest thing to warhammer i guess, Space Crusade board game WAY WAY back when i was young about 10 yr ago lol it had marines and orcs and aliens (i think) in and was fun but took ages to setup lol.

Is there going to be any mod abilitys going to be in it? If so i hope the game doesn't get sierra as a publisher then ;)

Is there a dismemberment physics going to be in it like dismembered corpses all over when u wipeout squads i think the physics im talking about is the HAVOK version although im not sure. Like cut up bodys like orc heads and arms and legs all over the place (it is war after all). EDIT__Ragdoll physics i think its called now___EDIT

Is there going to be a dynamic weather system (rain/snow/windy/sunny/cloudy/foggy) and a day and night cycle?

Whats the max squad size going to be and whats the biggest armies u can make?

Really think this work really good on the Rome: Total War engine tho as that allows for great huge battles and well i recon it would rock on that engine so i was thinkin would the engines be similar in any way as in huge battles wise and huge landscapes.

How many playable races would there be and what is the campaign going to be like. (only saw a few screenies so far and havent really read any posts here on the game)

Can squads be customized with different weapons and armor types?

Will it have multiplayer and skirmish vs cpu game types?

What are its pros and cons?

Think thats about it for now. Looking forward to some good replys. :)

lets see
i dont think sierra is involved in this one at all
on modding we can hope for the best
and as for your other questions.......
1) i havent heard but the most likely answer probably will be no (think of the processor requirements)
2) no clear info on that as of yet
3) ..... i dont know
4) 5, exept one will only appear in single player the other 4 will be in both single player and multiplayer
5) yes most likely
6) pros; its going to be awesome
cons: .........

correct me if i am wrong but i think i'm pretty accurate

You know, at first I thought a Total War engine would be ideal, but in the end decided that it would be ideal for an Epic game of 40k. There's just no real reason why to huge forces would run into open ground to fight when they could send in some uber tanks and titans to do that instead, or at least an orbital strike at the least. Titans and thousands of troops in the Epic scale would be ideal for the Total War engine. I think the choice that Relic has made for this game is going to be ideal.

Read this very forum (especially see the FAQ). Nobody has the time to repost these answers a million times over. Especially not for someone who starts an entire thread for it.

Soulblighter do you think maybe a newbies thread would be appropriate, then surely even people who don't know the least about forums will post there.

Maybe a "Read this first before posting questions!" in front of the FAQ thread? :bandit:

You know you can save everyone here a lot of time by just doing alittle research on the topic. I didnt have to start a single thread because i was able to get all the info from various sites. here is a good place to start: http://pc.ign.com/articles/498/498701p1.html

have fun.

we have a new persons forum for people to say hi in, so a new persons thread in the dow forum would be a little overkill, nice idea though:).

the FAQ is docked, and is being updated by ion and i as soon as we get new info but aside from that we cant force people to read it. my best advice is just do what Anthonace did and answer their questions or link them to the FAQ.

just lead them to water and hope the horse drinks, and dont shoot them if they break a leg along the way guys.

i think a warhammer fantasy game would make a better total war game, as there are regiments, where as 40k has more of a fast paced sort of skirmish like gameplay, where single units have more importance.
