If If I don't carry over (ie: wear) the cyclone missile launcher for termie armor from the DOW 2 first campaign ... is it lost for good? Or will they eventually put up a mission that gives you another one?

You mean wear it into Chaos Rising? Hard to say, all I know is when I beat the base campaign, Avitus was wearing the Cyclone Missile Launcher. Then, when I started Chaos Rising, it was in my selection of items to choose. Now, I can't tell if that guarantees anything, but if someone else can confirm what happens if you don't bring the Cyclone Missile Launcher to the final mission of the base campaign, then we might find out the general answer.

Of course, it could be just random, anyway. I grinded a few extra missions in the base campaign before finishing it to try and have a good selection of equipment to start with in CR, only to find most of what I earned disappeared when I started CR. Lame...
