Well it's more of a change request actually, notice the marines in jump jets? Well, can it be a heavy glow like how when in Homeworld, the Mothership /Battleship moves ? Right now it looks like an upside down candle stick.. if that stays, i recommend it to be bigger cause the jump packs are big and looked like it needs more thrust than that..
My thoughts..
Guys?

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe an effect like what you get out of a jet engine?

Yeah that would be great. I think they will probebly fix it cause the current animation just doesn't do them justice.

Not to be antagonistic :) ... but how can you speak of "animations" when all you've seen is static images?
Dare I say, you should wait to see them in motion before casting opinions? Nah, forget it, I'm just being silly... ;)
happy thursday!

Deggy is right. The candlestick light may just be a frame out of the jump thrust animation. So that it looks like it's thrusting . Can't wait to see it at E3. I'll be there, the joys of being a developer. :)

What I would like to see is a complete lack of stealth with the jumpers. Make 'em very very very very loud, as a real jet is, maybe cause lotsa wind on the ground, and most importantly, a very bright big flame. Sorry for the lack of punctuation, I just think they should be really cool.
And weapons. Lasers should have no muzzle flash or recoil and hit instantly, bolters could be like Halo needlers, detonating after a split second all at once, and plasma should be a shapeless mass rather than a beam, a flame, an ovoid or a sphere as some games have them.
