I'm guessing it relates to the Chapter Master, but you'll have to re-edit your message?

oops
How on earth did they get away with naming a Space Marine Captain after a boggle-eyed pop singer? Space Marines are supposed to be uber macho - this guy sounds like a wuss!

That or at least archaic spellings of names to pretend to be "Latiny". Azrael is pretty nifty in its own...
It's always possible that Relic can change the name.

hope so, though I doubt I'll ever scrape together the cash to pay for the PC I'd need to buy this game - I will be a sudent for the next three years! :( :buddies:

What's wrong with Gabriel? Naming a commander after a divine figure isn't exactly rare in 40k.

it sounds rather saintly. fits with the universe, don't forget space marines are a kind of worrier monks. no regular soldiers. so it could even be a chosen name...

Yep, you might want to look a little further back than recent pop culture there Montka. In the depths of mythology Gabriel = woop yo ass and hardly lift a finger. :wow:

Yes Gabriel is the name of the archangel of death/murder/? something along those lines. Biblical name.

remember you christmas nativity? Gabriel was the angel who appeared before Mary and gave her one... I mean told her that she was to carry Christ. But I think MD was right, he was also the Angel of Death. The guy got about a bit..
