DISCLAIMER: Users have requested that I update the CR guide so here it is. Beware the thread is work in progress
General Strategies
1. If you are starting out, do not capture supply points. They do not give experience points, this is a noob mistake, players often die trying to recapture a point at a really bad time often leading to a GAMEOVER. So just ignore them until you are ready to do some Score runs.
2. Spawn kill when possible, but try to target the right spawn points. This will make it easier on yourself and on the team, i'll list some spawn killing tips hero specific later on in the guide.
3. Do not make a mad dash for buildings when things get tough. I've seen many noobz try to hide inside the buildings to recover only to get shot to pieces or blown out of it.
4. Always be friendly and communicate with team mates, last stand is a team effort regardless of what anyone else tries to preach. You get more done when you work together and coordinate, most noobz are willing to work as a team if you speak to them. Regular players can be a bit more stubborn and usually suck because they failed to learn to play as a team when they were noobz.
5. The initial run is usually a mismash of abilities however after a run is done TAKE YOUR TIME before starting another, talk to your team mates, figure out what went wrong and how you can all work together changing your wargear selections as necessary to make it more successful on the next one. Too often do i see people get killed early and then start up right away without giving anyone else time to change wargear or do anything. This only needs to another early grave.
6. Discuss which map to play in if you are the host, don't just force your team mates into playing what you want to play.
7. If you are just starting out request to play in the Bloodied Coloseum, you will have a far easier time learning the game, not to mention gaining enough levels to be an asset to the team when playing Anvil of Khorne. Also in Bloodied Coloseum you gain more experience points than in Anvil of Khorne as you can see in the chart below

Last Stand Strategy For Noobz - Chaos Rising
http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?258471-Last-Stand-Strategy-For-Noobz-Chaos-Rising
----------
=LORD GENERAL=
Bloodied Colosseum
Level 1
http://retribution.gamereference.org/build/index.php?hero=lord&id=1,6021,6022,6026
For starters the best weapon of choice is the Deadly Sniper as it allows you to aid the team the best. Make sure to put your focus on always targetting the toughest enemies or the most annoying. Taking them out early is a great help to team mates. High Power Shot is your only ability and should be spammed on everything not categorized as cannon fodder.
Wave 4 - Apothecaries/FC
Any Ork Wave - Nobs
Any Eldar Wave - Anti Grav Platforms/Wraithlords
Any Tyranid Wave - Warriors, Zoanthropes, Raveners, Carnifexes
All Waves - Heroes, specially on wave 16 which you should be able to dominate in.
Level 2
http://retribution.gamereference.org/build/index.php?hero=lord&id=1,6021,6022,6026,6027
Not much to add here, refractor field is worth taking in the early levels. 30% ranged damage reduction is nothing to sneeze at specially when you have decent mitigation from the equipped armor. Use the shield sparingly to aid team mates or to escape. Your primary role should still be the same as in level 1
Level 3 - 4
http://retribution.gamereference.org/build/index.php?hero=lord&id=1,6021,6022,6026,6027,6028
Medallion Crimson is a pretty good accessory that boosts your attack power significantly by 30% so the sniper will pack a bigger punch. Your role still remains the same as before taking out the toughest targets for your team mates.
Level 5 - 7
http://retribution.gamereference.org/build/index.php?hero=lord&id=1,6024,6029,6026,6027,6028,6030
Things now get interesting and you are able to perform solid crowd control and should make it your responsibility to take out the cannon fodder and set up defense perimeters for your allies. This is also a good time to start playing for score as you can easily defend a supply point alone from most enemies with Capture behavior. With one or two allies dedicated to taking out the heavies you should rack up a ton of kills using this build.
Level 8
http://retribution.gamereference.org/build/index.php?hero=lord&id=1,6024,6033,6026,6027,6028,6030
Flamer mayhem continues however now you have a choice between turrets, missile turret offers more damage and solid crowd control. Where ass Heavy Bolter turret has the very valuable suppression aspect. You may switch between these two armors at your own leisure. Personally I would recommend missile turret for the extra damage as it can stll be decent on crowd management.
Level 9 - 10
http://retribution.gamereference.org/build/index.php?hero=lord&id=1,6024,6033,6026,6028,6034,6030
The sergeant wargear is invaluable for the guardsmen minions at this point definetly worth replacing refractor shield with, as it will do 3 things for you. 1. Save energy, this is very important the longer your guardsmen last the less you´ll have to keep resummoning them and thus you can shell out more energy on maintaining your turrets. 2. Increase your damage output, the longer they can stay in the fight also means youll be putting out more damage without interruption. 3. Keep enemies away from you allowing you to escape easier which you really need a good escape goat when over run by tougher enemies.
