Does anyone have any sources stating that Space Marine will (or may or may not FOR THAT SHRED OF HOPE) have Local Co-Op? By that I mean being able to Co-Op on one system, sitting next to a friend or two, not using two or three systems over the internet/PSN/XBL whatever. I hope there is ;-;...

no reason split screen shouldnt be possible. though it could go either way, we wont know until they release more info
split screen horde mode could be pretty epic, though i play on pc so it wouldnt concern me :P

I'd like to get it for PC too, but first and foremost would be the PS3 version to play with a friend. We're always wanting more local co-op stuff, no one ever puts enough of those out.

PC split screen? i wouldn't count on it, almost no one does it and highly doubt it will be done here. unless the porting when horribly wrong?(like it usually does*coughs*) Co-op has been confirmed though, not on how its going to be done but its most likely only the cleanse mode. nothing on split screen either will have to wait for more MP/co-op info

There is usually a splitscreen of some sort. What I want it splitscreen online, guest or live account enabled. Like Halo. I love Halo for that.

It could work like a GoW split screen

i really hope its not for PC then lol, id rather have my screen to myself and have it fullscreen. Don't need to see what the other is doing. but the chances are very low for PC splitscreen and i dont mind.

Halo online splitscreen's the best, really do hope the similar system comes. You'd need a laarge tv though.

Why the hell would you have splitscreen on a PC? -_- I was referring to the PS3 version... but I guess people don't have common sense.

I'd like to get it for PC too, but first and foremost would be the PS3 version to play with a friend. uhmm.. you were the first one to mention it, so i guess you dont have commen sense. also no need for that attitude, you didn't specify which platform in your first post so people can talk/share ideas/speculate about whichever they want to.

Guys, chill. Portal 2 is the most recent example of splitscreen on a PC, which is disabled by default but possible. As for console split screen, we'll have to wait and see on that one. I'd be willing to bet that it does not, and co-op would be purely online, as it keeps development simple. A lot of games recently have come out without split screen, like transformers WFC and pretty much any activision title. Expect to be disappointed.
If there is console split screen, I'd be surprised if Relic stripped the code out of the PC version - just have one player use a gamepad and the other use mouse/keyboard.

I wouldn't mind that... might be epic using a keyboard as a second controller, lol.

If there is co-op I will play it on the PC.
Relic are known for being PC focused and do a very good job of doing that.

I'm more interested in whether cross-platform play has been or will be implemented for co-op. My guess is no, but one can dream.
