Hi all,

I am coming here to tell you that a new mod is born.
What does this mod contain :

Name of the mod : homeworld2 : vengeance
What does it do bacically : team rebalancing, some news units

Hiigaran side / new units :
- Cloaking elite superior fighter
- Elite Bombers (massive destruction unit lol)
- Assault Elite corvette (implemented fire rate, and distance fire range)
- Pulsar Elite Corvette (same as assault elite corvette)
- Cloaking torpedoes fregate
- Repair Frigate (replaces collectors)

Vaygr side / new units :
- Heavy superior fighter : equipped with a missile launcher
- Heavy bomber : Massive destruction unit
- Advanced lance fighter : armor tweaked up, speed increased
- Heavy missile launcher corvette : massive capital destruction unit (uses frigate missiles ! )
- Repair Frigate : Reparation frigate(replaces collectors)
- EMP frigate (fighter support unit)

That’s all for the ships. And now the “in-game” balance modification :

- Mothership armor tweaked up (upgraded to 300 000 for hiigarans and 320 000 for Vaygr)
- Carrier armor tweaked up (110 000 for hiigarans and 95 000 for vaygr)
- shipyard armor ( upgraded to 350 000 for higgarans and 400 000 for vaygr)
- destroyers armor (no change for the hiigarans ones, 90 000 for vaygr ones)
- battlecruisers armor (hiigaran side : 285 000, vaygr side 300 000)

modified cost units and building time :

- hiigaran shipyard : 4500 Ru, 150 s
- vaygr shipyard : 4000 Ru, 130s

- hiigaran battlecruiser : 4500 Ru, 290s
- vaygr battlecruiser : 4250 Ru, 290s

- hiigaran destroyer : 2500 Ru, 120s
- vaygr destroyer : 2250 Ru, 135s

In future versions, there will be in game balance improvments and new capital units

Wow, your Dreadnaught is coming well, by the way, I see that it has a bottom ship bay, will it build capital ship? This Dreadnaught could be a new Flagship..

no, is a not new mother ship or flagship.this Dreadnaught is "combat cruiser" for hiigaran race. the Dreadnaught Has no function{*office*} of construction. It{*he*} will be build by heavy carrier or on construction orbital site.
. It{*he*} will arrive so by hyperspace if this configuration and held{*retained*}.

Apparently he is wondering whether that is really big red, as it does not look like the concept. He seems to dislike the missile launcher which was apparently added, even though it was not there on the concept art. He thinks the designer of that model has already changed big red according to his own preferences (not sure about that part) and he is asking for your input.
Give him a break, I'd be happy if my french was on the same level as his english.

In Goatmans back story the original Big red (IE what we saw in the dust war trailer) was scraped in the Kharos(sp?) graveyard (Mission 6 I believe where the Hiigarans find the dreadnaught). Makaan Left the ship behind because of technical problems and the huge resources consumption it required, Big Red was seen in Kharos was the prototype for the current generations of Command Carriers, witch the Vagyr are constructing (IE, the Command Carrier in Nomad Gods Mod). The CC’s in Goatmans Mob follow more closely to the Picture you provided but has been changed for what ever reason, game play, Poly consternates, artistic Licenses so on and so forth.

Though that’s probably best heard from the Horses mouth.

I think Different mod teams working together is a great idea, but if you don’t like Goatmans and have the ability to create your own then you might as well do so. There is however the CC which Goatman made which you could use with his permission of course. Which is what he was pointing out.

Just want to mention Goatmans Models are extremely well done and well worth looking in to. However the CC isn’t done at the moment, so really there’s not much of a point in adding it yet if you do ask him to lend his talents to this mod.

Apofis: Try this (http://world.altavista.com/) to translate words if you are unsure. The sentences it produces are usually crap as far as grammar is concerned, but you will get the spelling right at least.

hi, apofis.

yes, the nomad god people are making some of the ships which you also plan to make, but it does seem like we (nomad god people) are altering the ships slightly... or significantly to suit our needs. the CC as you mentioned above is one example. the cloaking frigate (which i'm doing) has very significant changes as well. (cuz the original looks like ass :p )

anyway, i don't want to speak on behalf of goatman, but i think we were looking for the dreadnaught model you made... so maybe there could be a trade? i don't know.

although based on the screenshots i've seen, the dreadnaught looks like it might have a very high polly count. how many pollygons does it have?

About the trade of model it s not me that doing modification but i have friends who do it for me on this project.
And about polygones , you must precise if you speak about deaghnuet of the vaygr or of the hijgaran ?
I know that vaygr ship have 300 polygone and that we must stay under limite of 3000 polygones per ship.

apof, I could be wrong, but I think the nomad god team means they would like to know the exact poly count for the hig Dreadnaught. If it is around something they think if playable, they are suggesting a trade of models, or perhaps you just making it downloadable and giving them permission to use it. I might be wrong though and they ment the unfinished one when you finish it.....

"they" meant nothing. i was just thinking out loud. and in truth, i shouldn't and do not represent the nomad god team. i was putting the idea out there, i'll talk to goat and see what he thinks about this as he is kinda the god father of the nomad god.

oh, but uh... ordered knight is right about what i was thinking. although, i remember seeing this model done by others as well... possibly ...enterprise? anyway, yeah, i was talking about the hig dreadnaught. and i said what i said about pollys because when i looked at those blue engines, they looked like they might have lots of pollys... but maybe that's just the texture?

ANYWAY, unless you hear more about this from someone from nomadgod, i wouldn't worry about it. i was probably talking out of turn. :p

I dont understand makiing the vgr capital ships have more health..... the higs are supposed to have better cap ships and worse figters

yeh the vaygr are supposed to be reliant on fighters and the higarrans are supposed to be reliant on frigates and higher

Hi! I am working with apofis on this mod.
Recently some problems have been appeared

1st problem:
We are scripting some ameliorations on the hiigaran probe, trying to implement the vagyr capacity of the admiral corvette and a possible extension of the sensors.
We have copied these functions :

the game don’t crashes but nothing happens.

2nd problem
When I try to import a PSD file a texture file in the maya 5.0 shader, i have this message in the debug window: error reading file. I think that my installation of my plugging is corrupted or is not complete. What must I do for a proper installation ?
