View Full Version : Demo resets graphic settings and mapped keys everytime

I guys.
It's just me or have anyone else experienced this?
Demo resets graphic settings (resolution is the most annoying) and remapped keys (this drive me nuts!) everytime I launch the game.
I've been lokking for config files to manually edit them or set the files as read-only, but there's no config files in My Documents or anywhere else.
Running under Vista 32-bit, q9550, HD 5850, 3 GB RAM
Thanx!

Yeah, sorry about this, we disabled all of the config reading/saving for the demo. Needless to say in the full game your preferred settings will auto-save/load.

I suspect it was done to stop people being able to unlock weapons and stuff >:3
Also, what do you think of my texture mods Jager? <3

Nah, it was just an oversight for PC; it had to be done for the console demos for cert related reasons and it was never undone for the PC version due to the tight timeline we had to get the demo out.
The texture mods look great. As a shaved-headed man myself I definitely enjoy Titus' new look ;)

@Jager:
I hate to correct you, Jager - no, wait, I actually LOVE to correct you ;). Config reading has not been disabled. Putting this into gamePC.cfg from AppData\Local\THQ\Relic Entertainment\Space Marine will let you set your resolution:
Resolution.Width = 1920
Resolution.Height = 1080
-cope.

I can't find that .cfg file anywhere. Not even with the search function.

*sigh*
Cope spelled it well yet.
In Vista (haven't checked in 7, must prolly be the same): ..\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\THQ\Relic Entertainment\Space Marine
I guess you otherwise have folders/files hidden, in which case, well, select to show them in the usual Tools>Folder Options>View menu.

Thanks. Last question though. It looks like you opened it with either wordpad or notepad, but whenever I open this file it is blank. Any advice?

It is blank, enter the lines cope gave and replace with your desired resolution

Thanks, makes life a little easier. Any info on the other commands (besides UsePreview hehe)? Shadow detail etc.
