Can we please get the option to change teams games IN-GAME?
Sidenote; How come it's only the assault class that can have any different default pistol? I'm abit surprised on that end. I also thought Tacticals could equip melee weapons, like chainswords and such?
Either way, it's misc stuff that I don't find all to important, but not being able to swap teams mid-game is silly, esp if it's in good cause. I reckon WTJ (Winning-Team-Joining) could be an issue, but unless there's some work-arounds on that end, i'd strongly encourage implementing it.
Replay functions, observer stuff would be awesome. The balance is pretty spot-on. I'm surprised there's no encouragement on the e-sport front for this game. The symmetrical and playing on same-terms is awesome. Besides, I'd reckon it would be an awesome spectator sport to watch some fancy pants tactics and plays. Besides, it's different from what's on the market. :o

so you want tactical marine to be able to out-combat assault marines and outpistol too? techicly. a sergent can replace his boltgun for a close combat weapon and plasma pistol on page 134 of the SM codex. but thats hardly balanced is it?
everything else
maybe you could ask relic?

One of the things that annoys me about the multi - beyond the crapola pc matchmaking system, is that when you're meleeing another player, there's absolutely no visual feedback or similar to show that you're actually hitting them. Melee fighting becomes just a chainsaw swing fest until someone chance dies.

The ability to save and load replays and spectate matches would be awesome, but would probably require some major tinkering.
On the topic of netcode...The lag in some games is so bad at times that at times you can see players streak across the map or you simply can't move at all for several seconds. One of the worst problems you can face is you wind up emptying a clip into a "ghost" with no effect and then suddenly you're dead from a Bolter to the face from the guy you should have killed. It is rather rage-inducing and not in a good way.

haha aparently relic removed lag compensation to make the professional gaming community happy... but the proffesional gaming community doesnt care about space marine because there's no private servers. the lack of witch i believe points towards a console port. despite BRINK being terrible. at least they got servers right

The Bolt Pistol is actually way better in my preference when it comes to outpistoling someone. The Plasma Pistol warrants for better shredding of the armor, but way lower damage output and the incapability of getting headshots. A tactical can already outperform assault marines in a straight one-on-on with combat stim + serrated blades, so huh? The advantage of the assaults/raptors is their keen mobility and harassment, and of course maybe the one-shot perk of the Hammer/Maul.
I just said I was surprised, since I vaguely remember Relic mentioning that they could equip all the weapons in the game, cept for the devastator ones iirc. Besides, one of the screenshots had a maul chaos space marine tac, but that's definately not implemented. But I reckon alot of the actual pre-implemented stuff didn't go live, much like the Killa Kan and such. :]

I find the plasma pistol to be excellent for fire-and-forget kind of shots, charge it up, and the blast it fires has a radius. Drop that around corners and stuff, and you'll likely do some damage before you jetpack in. Also, the charged shot sticks to guys, like big fatty devs, and drops their shields instantly.
