Beam of something?

Anyone else notice sometimes very rarely you will see a beam connecting you to something or someone? Anyone else notice this? It doesn't seem to effect you that I can see, but there is some odd animation which looks like energy transferring between you and someone or something? I have seen this four times since playing multiplayer. It doesn't last long, it's too quick for a screen cap and in fact I'm not ready for it when I see it. Am I going mad?

I would think so as well but it's following me and going around corners as if it's part of the game itself. It sort of reminds me of the healing beams. Has no one else seen this?

I think it's caused by a charged plasma pistol shot attached to you (moments before it explodes).

Happened to me once. An ASM killed me from behind just after I saw the energy trail. I died pretty
fast and think I saw my armour give after an explosion moments before I got melee'd to death.

OK now i am starting to believe this game is tainted by the warp

1st Clue) People hear their SM/CSM talking and sort.
2nd Clue) Strange beams appear out of nowhere.

If someone here reports that his CSM asked him if he will be joining them soon i am unistalling this asap!
