Damm Warboss

Ok so i have been playing for about 8 hours now and have gotten to the point where you fight the Warboss and...... i just dont know how to kill it. do you do the same as you would do with Nobs is there something special, because everytime I even get close he kills me in one or two hits. what do i do i cant beat him. what weapons should i use i grabed the thunder hammer, which means im limitied to the bolter and plasma pistol :( do i need a different weapon. thank you for your help

Just keep shooting. There's not much imagination used when it comes to boss battles in the game. Just keep shooting and be patient. You're an UltraSmurf after all.

Yeah, I just repeatedly rolled out of his way and overcharged plasma to his face. His minions are quite simple to deal with. As Misiok says, just keep shooting!

The minions are quite easy to deal with in that the warboss deals with them for you. Between the grenades, rockets, minigun sweep and charge attack you shouldn't have to do more than shoot the warboss and smash a grot if you need health. Drop a grenade at your feet and roll away if you are getting overwhelmed, alternatively you can just shoulder barge your way through if you need a quick exit.

As for the Warboss himself, just grab your favourite weapon and fill him full of holes, there are a couple of refilling ammo boxes around the edge of the map so you can't run out of ammo. Roll out of the way of his charges and normal strafing will see most of his attacks frag the minions instead of you.

When I first fought the Warboss I thought that there was some sequence I omitted and was shooting him wrong :P

I pop fury when he starts the shooting phase, get in behind him and absolutely ruin his shit in melee. Had to repeat it twice but it finished that particular battle.

I thought the Warboss was piss easy to kill, he's slow, telegraphs his moves ages before he does them and has the shittiest aim in the world. Fighting Tankbustas was harder.

Keep away from him while taking pot shots at his face until he jumps up on a ledge. Going toe-to-toe melee is doable but not the best approach, certainly not the most efficient. When he jumps on the ledge, shoot the Squigs as they get close to him for some pretty decent damage. The AOE blast also takes care of most of his minions that try to make their way down to you also. In all phases, the plasma rifle really wrecks the warboss' shit in a hurry. There are crates off in each corner with infinite ammo stores so running dry on plasma is not a concern.

You can actually kill him with the plasma pistol on hard. Keep shooting him in the face, and remember to roll out of the way when he charges you. Even once he gets his boyz in support, you can usually rely on his grenade launcher to kill them for you, and you can always execute a grot for some HP. That's basically how I did it, because I got a bit target-focussed, and failed to notice the stores of ammo in the corners :dunce:
