So after seeing this http://community.dawnofwar2.com/forums/topic/53538 over at the community forums I decided I want that bg animation in it's full glory. I saw that NastyNoodle removed the ingame hud via texmod, so I thought the same could be done with the main menu. At first I was pretty clueless as to how to use texmod (even asked NastyNoodle for help :o), but I found 1 or 2 helpful tutorials and that's how far I got now:

As you can see, there's still bits of text left, and it seems these are not plain textures or text. Anyone got any clue as to how to get rid of those bits? Help would be greatly appreciated :D

Edit: Mod successful, http://www.mediafire.com/?pnefw4i2kg8nmok
needs -usepreview parameter

damn nice... now you got me interested. I would like to know how it can be done without the texmod, so I can record videos of my own modded Titus of the textures I did.

That's fairly easy, I found most of the textures within the oppcs. Just need to make them all transparent

Ok seems like modifying mainmenu.gfx causes it to glitch and not display the menu at all :D I edited font sizes for the remaining texts and that made everything disappear, so an hour of fiddling with textures wasted :P
Too bad it removes the bottom black part as well, I kind of liked it tbh :D

Files to remove the main menu. Place preview folder inside space marine root, use -usepreview to launch game. Game is not usable in any kind of way with this active, only way to quit is alt+f4 or task manager.

It Worked PERFECT!, my friend helped me out to get it to work on my own desktop, it's awesome I love it. Your Mod did the job now for other videos or cut scenes in the game I just record then convert them.
