View Full Version : Dungeon Defenders. Let the bodies flow!

This game has been my little addiction for some time now, figured I'll let you guys take a look. You have four class choices, level up system, loot system and all of this is setup for coop four player.
The Main Website:
The game is all about defending the crystals, at first there is one, but later on you get up to four to defend. Monsters come in waves, and you can get loads of them out on the field at once, talking hundreds at a time.
Each class has their own benefits. They have their own type of weapons, but share armour.
Squire is slow, but has good towers, he's all CC and has loads of HP to take hard hits. Does not have range himself but some of his towers do.
Huntress is all speed and quick DPS shots. She can clear a lane like no other. She has only traps to use.
Apprentice is all magic, he's the ranged tower support. He's a jack of all but master of none.
Monk is all aura effect on the battle field. He has ranged and CC. His auras help locations either slow monsters down, zap them with lighting or even make hard hitting monsters feel like kittens pawing you.
Great game. I recommend trying the demo.
I have a level 70 Apprentice, 70 Squire, 39 Huntress and 44 Monk. Once you get one guy high enough leveled you can easily level up the rest of the guys pretty fast.
I play it on the android. Lots of fun but it eats the battery like crazy. So much so that even after you turn it off, your charge keeps going down for a few minutes more.
You guys are late. :p

I had a go at this yesterday. It was a lot of fun, not sure if I will go much further at it though.

Ok I maxed out all four characters at LVL70. I seem to have over 70 hours placed in the game already. Me thinks I'm a bit addicted.
Maxed Huntress and Apprentice, have no interest in leveling anything else until Rule 63 (http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/rule-63) and/or Barbarian comes into effect sometime this month.

I'm a bit over halfway with Squire, Apprentice and Monk, with Monk leading by a long way. I'm kind of a support player at heart, and I find the auras quite an effective defense palette, with Tower/Hero boost being total game savers for when those Ogres come pounding at your barricades. I try to switch when I'm not what my team needs, though.

The normal build for most maps for win button is monk auro slow and lighting supported by fire towers on choke points, the mage towers by crystals for bomber coverage. This pretty much makes nearly all maps easy. In fact you can nearly solo everything with that combo. Only spooktacular on insane fails with this one.
Taking a bit of a break right now. Skyrim will be eating most of my time. heh.

I played this game for about a week.. but there was really no depth once it was finished.. i was rather excited for it too.. but rather disappointed higher level difficulties are just the same monsters that do more damage and have more life. It was worth the 15 dollars i paid for it, but thats about it

To celebrate that, I decided to open an online store to see what this shop thing is all about and it's nifty!
Every item is Godly and priced at 500k!

Are there still people playing this game? I picked it up a few weeks ago, but I'm having a hard time finding people to play with since I'm only level 18 and my buddies have stopped playing the game entirely.
edit: playing on pc btw.

There are, but endgame is as all hell broken. Trendy has no real plan on what to do so it's just pretty much bigger numbers = call it a day.
Once you get over that fact though, it's pretty okay.

Ok. Any tips on leveling up fast(er)?

Leveling faster involves getting a Squire or Apprentice to level 70 ASAP, and then building towers on Hard/Insane Glitterhelm (Bonus after finishing campaign). Switch to the alt you wish to level then just go around repairing/upgrading towers.
Alternatively, join Medium/Hard Glitterhelm games.

Got myself a level 70 ranger/huntress and apprentice. Working on getting the squire and monk levelled as well.
Would love to form a group to beat some of the tougher challenges. I'm looking into beating the halloween- challenge on insane, but with no success...
Oh yeah, and that xmas extragavanzathingamajig. God that thing tears me up.

Aralonia/MarieHawke and Mantaray play, Sadiablo is powerleveling alts, Doomrider may or may not come back to the game, he's been away from the internet for a while.
Also, upon dinging 74, the host graced me with his spare mythical sword. I do massive DPS now.

Alright, I'll get to leveling my squire asap so we can have a game ;).

Wait when did DoomRider start playing DD? lol Dang it all. I have been out of the loop for a bit.
I have been sitting on the game as I have maxed out all my characters at lvl 70. Wait when could you go past 70 Afoxi?! Did they up the level limit?

They increased it with the Eternia Shards DLC. Each episode of the DLC (there are 4) increases the cap by 4, with the current cap being 74.
I am not sure if you have to own the DLC in order to attain the cap increases though.

Uh... Doomrider got it within 48 hours (possibly 24) from when the game came out on Steam?
Loot progression in this game is so stupid and unintuitive, but hey.
I think i can actually take on the first level on Nightmare difficulty and actually survive one wave now.
