Is it possible to swap Titus with the guardsmen?
Sorry i'm very new to space marine modding.

It should be possible, but the end result might not look natural. Titus does have a bigger skeleton rig than an ordinary guardsman, meaning the model will have to be stretched and sized to fit Titus's body structure. Not to mention that there'll probably be problems with the facial animations. I'd even wager Nemeroth's terminator armor can replace Titus's armor for those who'd be interested. Though there'd probably be alot of clipping issues.

hmmm what your saying sought of sounds like just giving titus guard armour, which i agree would probably not work too well however i'm talking about replacing the entire titus model for a guardsmen. This would be so much easier if i wasnt such a fantastic noob.

im no modder but from all ive read so far it isnt currently possible and most likely never will be, ever. The skeleton is what the animations go by so if you swapped out all of Titus for an IG, the animations would go for an 8 foot giant not the short IG model. Plus Titus is made up of separate models where as the IG is one complete model, not separated by arms, legs etc. which means you're best bet is for someone to discover how to import models, create an IG with separate parts and reduce the Titus skeleton/animation sizes to fit the IG. Sorry man but that's a lot of work so i wouldn't hold my breath if i were you

Well until we can get a tool to edit the animations, there's no way we can replace the space marine skeletons with something else. If we forcefully replace the skeletons, then Titus would just freeze during every action and cinematic cause there's no available combat animations like executions and chainsword swinging for the guardsman skeleton. So the last method I mentioned is the best possible solution for this idea. It's not hard to get Titus into guardsman armor though, just takes some editing in 3dsmax and alot of effort, as Ruin has mentioned. Though the discover how to import models part has already been discovered, so you're half way there.

oh well I guess i'll have to wait until it's easier to do. Although i dont think the animation and such are really a problem since the whole thing would be a novelty rather than anything so the lack of cutscenes and animation is not really a concern. Anyways thanks for your replies, dont know where the op is. ^.^
